Host, was very accommodating and helpful when I lost my keys to my camper. Campground became a bit noisy and crowded next to me. But overall was not intolerable.

We always have a good experience here, and the over-night stay fees are very reasonable. We have a pop-up, so we hear everything, but the grounds are always peaceful regardless. The camp host, Darlene, is always pleasant and seems to genuinely care about the campers' experience. The sites are pretty spacious, always maintained, and the bathrooms and showers are always clean. The park rangers make themselves visible, and the vibe at the campground is laid back and relaxing. Some of the sites are more private than others, it would be awesome if some of the sites further in the woods accommodated trailers or RVS because there always seemed to be unused rustic tent sites. Maybe there's a reason for that, I'm not sure. Anyway, we enjoy kayaking out on the lake and the grandkids had a good time splashing around on those hot summer days when they joined us. The last bookable weekend we got rained out and left early, and it was such a bummer because we really wanted to enjoy one last stay of the season, but we will certainly be back in 2024!

Upon arrival, we were told by the camp host that rec.gov informed her we would have to leave the next morning by 10AM even though our reservation was for two nights. That same day, a ranger had called me earlier to tell me there were bees at my site and I'd have to move to a tent site with no electric. Ranger said nothing about having to leave the site early. Worst booking experience with a campsite ever. I still like the campground though.

Nice campgrounds. Use the entryway closest to route 22 rather than Saltsburg. The heavy rains this summer, have washed the roadside coming in from the ice cream stand, to the point of being dangerous to pass another vehicle. Great lake for fishing!

Great site. We were right on the playground loop so we could watch our kids. The Camp Host was very friendly.

The campsite itself was great - super cute, very very clean. We had direct access to the playground which the kids loved and the view of the sunset over the lake from our campfire was awesome. Camp host was sooo sweet and kind. Enjoyed meeting her. Campground is a 5 star. The challenge is the lake itself. Perhaps better for motorcraft, but we brought kayaks and fishing poles and we’re on or close to shore. The shoreline of the lake is very dirty! Tons of trash, both fishing junk like lines and food containers, but also cigarettes, signs of drug use and the signs of drugs being made.

This place has all the potential to be Amazing, but the Park System needs to get the day use under control before I would come back.
