Bush Rec Area in Indiana County is located just 14 min southwest of Altoona, PA with an elevation of 1,077 feet. There are a total of 43 campsites including 27 tent-only sites. The campground is normally open from mid May to mid September. 16 sites can accommodate RVs between 34 and 62 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 10 sites have electric and water hookups. 6 sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $25.00 to $50.00. Some amenities include amphitheater.

Always a great time camping by the lake! Camp host Darlene is always wonderful and so helpful. We wish the camping season lasted longer though. We wouldve loved to come more in the fall to enjoy a fire.

Campground was nice enough and the campground host was extremely helpful when I was not able to reserve my site online. Nice hiking trails and good access to the water for fishing.

A great camp if you have a boat, want to fish or swim. Other than water sports theres not much to do at this small campground; no trails. Good Verizon reception and OTA tv. Only one shower/gender and its a push-button with no temperature control-Warm water, good pressure. Good price with Senior Access Pass.

Just a very peaceful and relaxing place. The place is well maintained the shower rooms were nice and clean keep up the great work

It was very peaceful. We actually had to stay in 2 different sites because of booking at two different times. Site 18 does not have much shade but 15 does. Drawback of 15 is it is next to the bath house and it stinks when they empty the septic system. I would definitely go back again.

Beautiful location and very affordable. Showers and restrooms were good, water was hot, pressure was good. Scenic water views, good fishing and boating. Easy drive to Pittsburghs downtown area and PNC stadium!

Bush COE campground gives access to a lake for fishing and boating. We came at a time when there were few other campers but the campground host met us as we pulled in and welcomed us with some information about the campground. We spent a day exploring the nearby dams and then went into Latrobe to tour the Fred Rogers Institute and the Lincoln Highway Experience.

The Campground Host Darlene is very pleasant and welcoming! She makes you feel like coming back to Bush Recreation Area. She makes me feel like I have a conduit to the Ranger Staff and knows how to work well with everybody! Makes a difference as I know I have help as soon as I pull in. The fishing is great and park is beautifully maintained. Its my Happy Place!

Darlene the camp host was very helpful. There was a wind storm and our tent was caving in on itself and she came down with rope and stakes so we could secure our tent before it got destroyed in the storm. Bathrooms were clean and the showers have great hot water. Busy weekend but still a nice relaxing time
