Tionesta Rec. Campground has gone down hill for the last 5 years or so. Grass needing mowed, trimming needed done, ditches were filled with debris so that when it rained they backed up and over flowed and they were not trimmed, posion ivy growing up trees near camping sites, and weeds and grass growing in the middle of the parking spots. And not to mention bathrooms need desperately to have an upgrade. Plus why can't the hosts do more? Maybe clean bathrooms, maybe mow or other such odd jobs. Or better yet put the Rangers to work. All I seen them do was run around driving a truck. I know funds probably got cut. But a lawnmower with a Rangers on would help or an odd job with a Ranger doing it. Funny how putting people to work at their jobs might accomplish thi gs. So I used to really like tionesta rec campground but it is becoming more and more not wanting to go there. It needs alot of attention that I believe could be handle if therangers did more and stuff.

I did 1 star because this campground has been going downhill for years. We really like to come here but the last few times we have stayed it has been just sad. Grass needs mowed, grass needs trimmed , bathrooms need attention! The Rangers ride around in trucks all.day doing nothing. The hosts get side by sides and you can't mow the campground. So here's a proposal utilize the help you got. Ge t the Rangers off their behinds and make them do things. I know cuts were made but utilize people. And the hosts I'm pretty sure they could do more for free rent. Plus you bought them side by sides. Buy a couple mowers and trimmers and make what you have work. This is a nice place if you make it nice.

The campground was clean and really nice. Plenty of shade in several sites. Theres a playground and areas to fish and swim. The showerhouses need updated and cleaned. The showers smelled and had mildew and was extremely dirty and falling apart. The flooring was cracked and chipping. Besides the showerhouse, the campground was great and we would definitely come back!

Beautiful campground with the best roads for bike riding. All sites are full hookups which is a plus. We drove to The West Hickory Sportsmans bar for a great burger and salad. Service there was very good.

Campground was very clean and nice! Great for biking! The beach isnt to desirable but it works. It is out of the campgrounds so its a little bit of a hike if you choose to walk. There is also NO playground inside the campgrounds. It is by the beach.
