We love camping at Tionesta! We have met so many wonderful people and some that we visit at least a few weekends together! We even meet up during the winter months to visit each other

The campground was quiet and clean. The chaplain came by to give us an weekend events flyer. The area of the dam was beautiful too.

There is so much to do at the Tionesta Campground. We took time to fish, ride bikes and kayak down the river and up at the lake. The campsites are really nice with sewage and water hook-ups

The rest rooms are showing the age. More attention to them is needed. All in All, the visit was great.Coming from the water industry, the storage tank needs attention before leaks happen.

Nice campground. Clean bathroom could use a little upgrade. Was a friendly and easy trip.

We love it at Tionesta campground. Roomy sites, full hook up, close to town if you need anything. We really like it back by the spillway. Access to fishing and can ride bikes. Family camping for sure

The campground sites were great. I didnt see a spot that I wouldnt pick. It was very family oriented. We were there during the week so I dont know how busy the weekends are. My only gripe was the shower stalls were in need of a good cleaning. The bathroom toilet areas were very clean, though.

Good spacing, level sites. Seems like all sites are full hookup.Mostly shaded sites but a few with sun.Several bathrooms, they are functional but older and showing their age.Several sites along the river. Sites near the outflow have white noise.Grounds are well kept. Friendly volunteers and staff.

Other than the rest room building showing their age, this is a very nice campground. There are many nice sites and they all have full hook-ups. The campground hosts are friendly and helpful. The walk into town to get ice cream at the gas station/general store is doable.

We love camping at Tionesta; however, there are two items Id like to address that explain why we didnt give 5 stars. One problem is that multiple times when weve been there the grass at our camp site was past our ankles and hadnt been cut in a while. Other times the grass was a perfect height. The other problem weve experienced, many, many times is that if it rains much, the camp site has standing water in multiple sections on our site. Frequently these swamped area are around the hookups. Also, the restrooms down by the playground area could definitely use some major work.

The signage for the Tionesta Recreation Area campground could be improved. I followed the signs for Tionesta that lead me up to the dam area as opposed to the campground. Would have be nice if there were signs specifically to the campground, or maps available outside the visitors center which was not open at the time. I had to call the park rangers office for additional directions.

This is a great location for those that enjoy boating and fishing. We enjoy exploring the area for Amish baked goods. Theres also an interesting flea market open weekends in nearby Leeper.

Tionesta is the place to make memories! All full hook up and pet-friendly sites, plenty of privacy on many of them. Shady and sunny, woods- and creek-backing. Three playgrounds in walking distance, paved roads for biking, tubing and wading in the creek, boating and swimming on the lake, and kayaking the Allegheny river; fishing, bike rides to town for ice cream and lighthouse island! Not enough? Cook Forest is a 30-min drive and Kinzua Dam within one hour. Verizon wireless service is weak to non-existent and AT&T is limited. Starlink worked like a charm that a difference in the last trip (for better or for worse :LOL:)! In love with Tionesta at the first sight and keep coming back for over 20 years!

Site 45 is not located next to the canal as the picture suggests. It is across the road from the canal. The site is not level, if you are in a vehicle such as a camper van, I do not recommend it. It is best for a small pull behind camper such as a teardrop or pop-up. The site is full hook up which I found to be very convenient. The bath houses need a refresh and they are not cleaned daily as the signs on the doors suggest. Otherwise, this is a beautiful place to camp, very quiet and the camp hosts are very friendly. You will need a signal booster if you want to use your cell phone. Verizon did not work at all. One bar sometimes two with AT&T.

Campground was quiet and sites were spacious. Beautiful river sites and views. Lots of shaded areas and playground for the kiddos. Bathrooms/showers could definitely use some fixing or upgrading. They could also be cleaned way more often than they are.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
