One of the nicest established camp grounds in the state.

Beautiful scenery, a clean and well kept campground, and a friendly campground host made for a wonderful experience. Good cell coverage for ATT. Would stay here again even though activities are limited to hiking. There is a good 2 mile loop hike around the top of the mountain I would recommend. The road up to he area is well graded and kept up by the forest service. Excellent views. Go check it out!

Excellent camp groups. Highly recommend. Given the road that takes you to the camp group dead-ends there, it is somewhat secluded and very quiet. Great views with cliffs and drop-offs surrounding the area.

My family loves visiting White Rock. The rim trail has gorgeous views and the campground is always very clean. The general store workers are always friendly and accommodating with anything we need. This is one of our favorite spots to camp in the entire state.

We always love coming to White Rock Mountain! We like to come in the fall when the weather is cool and the trees are in their fall colors. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and they have the cleanest campground bathrooms that Ive ever seen.

I will recommend this campground to anyone that want to visit the Ozark Mountains.

We had a great time here. The camp hosts were very nice and helpful. The hikes were beautiful. One of the best views of Arkansas is about a 5 min walk from the campsites. It was breathtaking. The road to get up there wasnt as bad as we were expecting, but its still not an easy trek. We camped during the first week of July, which we regret because it was super hot. The gnats and flies were really bad as well. But we do want to come back here in the future during the fall to see the changing colors of trees.

A trek driving up a windy dirt/gravel road is a unique adventure to arrive at White Mountain. The sunrises and sunsets are spectacular from the bluff campsites. Surprisingly, they have a very cute, small camp store available. The hosts were very kind. December was not a busy time and we had plenty of privacy. Convenient to a few hiking trails, lake, river/creeks, and a climbing area.

It was beautiful but I had a copperhead slither across my foot. Tree maintenance equipment had the snakes running for cover. They also woke everyone up. We picked a bad time to visit.

What an amazing surprise, after a long, somewhat isolated drive on (nicely maintained) unpaved roads to find the charming general store, incredibly welcoming and caring hosts, and mind-boggling beauty of the overlook. I'll go back any time I can.

What a peaceful experience. Well maintained, staff are super friendly, very quiet and sits at the top of the mountain. They have well maintained toilets and the campsites are far enough apart for privacy. If you’re planning a trip in the middle of a cold front or rain you may consider not picking the campsites four through six, those are right on the edge and can be very windy and exposed to the elements, consider picking the spots on the backside which are number 1 through 3 I believe. The park headquarters office can supply firewood so don’t bring sand to the beach! You can make the trip in a car but best to bring an suv. Portions of the road to the park are rough but not impassable for a car. Keep in mind that this park is rather remote, it takes about 45 minutes to an hour to get to from interstate 40. And that’s only about a 15 mile drive to give you an idea. Also know that because this is a park the weather can change and is unpredictable, at times there may be fallen trees on the road where they have to shut the road down, May seem inconveniencing but keep in mind it’s the wild so be nice to the forest workers working hard. Bring your patience and your problems and leave with a good attitude and feel rested. Get a good hike because there’s plenty to see and make sure you bring plenty in water. If you need gas or minor groceries the small town of Birdville is about 30 minute drive, it’s closer than going back to Alma where there is a Walmart. But he wants to go to Walmart after being in the wild. Pack it in and don’t leave until you’re ready to leave for good. Plan ahead make sure you have everything that you need, but be sure to take A stroll through the park store that has basic items that you may need in a few park souvenirs and park maps of the Ozarks. First time visitor and it is so beautiful. I’m from Texas and Arkansas is my neighbor, the people are just so friendly in the south. Happy to call them my neighbors.

Its such a beautiful campground!!! Will go back every chance that I get. You see staff constantly cleaning up the restrooms. We also noticed them cleaning up and expecting the camp sites after someones departure leaving it ready for the next campers. And what can I say about Amber! She was just such an amazing host. Anything you needed, she was always ready to help, in person or by phone. We also had a flat and they were kind enough to let us borrow a small air compressor and help us out even after hours. On one of the days, my husband and I did a 6 mile hiking trail down the mountain towards shores lake. It was such an amazing experience! Like I said, will most definitely be coming back to this place!

White Rock Mountain was FABULOUS! We parked about 10 miles away and hiked in on the Ozark Highlands Trail (which was nice, but mostly unspectacular in that section). But the view from the top of White Rock was incredible, and the sunset is possibly the most beautiful one I've ever seen! We camped in a tent, but we look forward to going back sometime with my wife's parents and staying in one of the cabins, which looked very nice.
