We were very disappointed with our trip. Us being aware of fire danger wanted to make sure if we could have campfires. So going to the website and checking didn't amount to anything. So I looked to see who to call or email to find out. BLM information came up and got a reply saying no campfires but could have cooking items with on and off switches. Was upset but called number again just to confirm. I got same explanation no fires. So we unloaded our firewood and headed out. So later after camp set up I told my boyfriend I swear I hear wood crackling. So we went for a walk and sure enough several people had fires. So we went to camp host to ask. John said fires in fire pits are fine had no message saying different from the Range. So now we had spend $30 on fire wood to have a fire when we had wood at home but unloaded cause was told now. Very upsetting and would like to know if can get reimbursed for that? I feel like communication needs to be better between everyone especially when it comes to fire safety. Shame on them.

Campsite 15 and 16 didn't have their dog on a leash. Once it came walking into our site with my dog leashed up. So I had to tell it to leave. Then I took my dog on a walk and was confronted with this dog once again while I had my dog on a leash. I told her dogs are to be on leashes. Her response she has it but not on her right now. Later that same night the dog was in the center camp spot barking at their dog. I really hope you send them a note cause the rest of use were following the rules. Feel if they don't want to they should find another place to camp. I spoke with John and if are up there again and same things happens I will be having him report it to the sheriff. Love the campground when everyone follows the rules.Thank you for reading.

We camp there 5 times a yr. throughout the season for the past 8 yrs. Only wish that the restrooms were more often maintained.

This was a great spot. It was tucked in the corner and very private. It wasn't next to the creek, but that's kind of a good thing. The creek is very loud this time of year which can make sleeping hard. You can always access it from the campground bridge that gets you to the great Alsea Falls trail.

Is it beautiful place to spend a day or two. Waterfall was gorgeous even though the overall water level was low. Make sure you dip your head in one of the Falls for a refreshing cool down.

The weather helped clear things out.

Beautiful area. Bike trailhead is 1/4 mile from the campground. The outhouse was short on tp but that's my only complaint. Would definitely stay here again.
