Facilities were clean, excellent and well-maintained, both the campground and the rest of the campsite. Great place to have a fire to sit by, and within feet of the Umpqua river. The only downside for me was that on the other side of the river is a road with enough traffic that the noise, while low, is still noticeable, including early morning. If your group has kids running around you won't hear a thing. Otherwise, a great spot!

A beautiful campground located above the Umpqua River. The campsites are very spacious, private and immaculately kept. The free campfire wood was a real bonus.

As always, clean, quiet, well-maintained campground. Hosts are always right on top of everything. Great little place.

Nice camground, even if the anadromous fish are not running.

Lovely and well-kept campground, reasonably quiet with access to the Umpqua. Beautiful.

The campground smelled like rotting carcass. I am not exaggerating. Truly, we looked for something dead in the nearby bushes. It was AWFUL. Additionally, there was a sign that said the toilets were not being cleaned to OR Health standards. Be aware, should you CHOOSE to use them. What choice did we have? What did this even mean? What standards were not held, and how might it affect our health? We had no idea, nor real choice. Additionally, there were rats around our campground in the evening and food/garbage dumped over the fence into the shrubs. Absolutely disgusting overall, and Im glad we only planned to be there for one night.

I drove in at dusk only to find no cell service. A phone was provided to call for a reservation as they had no walk up pay station. I was exhausted and forgot to look at the site number I had parked at. There was no map at the kiosk and the customer service person had no map either. I guessed the site number out of frustration and ended up with an undesirable site and had to move my van. I protest that to stay one night I had to pay the $8 reservation fee along with my camping fee. The site was clean but other campers were also not happy with the lack of maps and paying the fee on-site. I really think the $8 fee should be waived if you are onsite trying to stay the night. Either provide a self pay station or waive the fee.The site and bathrooms were very clean and it was a nice site.

The campground itself was standard, and the host was nice. We went at the end of the season when a lot of the pools on the rocks had sitting water that had turned green and sludgy. Our black lab took two drinks before we looked down, and he threw up with diarrhea for the first 24 hours of our trip. The current in the water below the campsites was way too strong for our 9 & 10 year olds (even with a life jacket). We did manage to find a swimming pool about a 1-mile drive down the road from our campsite.
