I left a day early after being disappointed by my sight and the campground. The photo of site #10 does not show that one can NOT pull into this site. Two large boulders are blocking one from pulling or backing into the site. I was disappointed to be parked on the road when the next five sites have driveways. This should be indicated in the photo. This site is also the one with the most road noise. The noise is mentioned in other reviews, but it is hard to describe just how loud it is from across the river. I came to enjoy a couple of rare sunny winter days, and no sun reaches this campground, nor this side of the river in general. If you don't fish (as mentioned as a prime reason to camp here), you can't access the river in the winter, and there is little to do at the campground or in the area. Elkton (16 miles away) is a nice town, but there is little open in the winter. There are no hikes in the area. The hosts were very nice, and the campground and vault toilets are clean

Beautiful campground. Camp host was very nice. I love that the river is right there. Peaceful, quiet and very clean.

The camp host was gone arrived Friday left Sunday never saw them. Firewood was locked up- bathrooms didnt get tended to. All signs said 5/4-5 Hunter through entire campground. Which was the weekend prior.. leads me to think hosts had been gone much longer. Bummer about no firewood access woulda been nice.

This was our first time taking our new puppy camping and she is so low to the ground, got a lot of debris in her fur. It was a lovely site with plenty of room. Downsides: no available fire wood or ice close by. The restaurant/grocery is closed on Monday and Tuesdays and had no ice on Sunday when we went. Its really a beautiful site and the camp hosts were great. We'll come back, and just next time be more prepared ourselves.

Beautiful campground, good river access, close to a nice riverside burger joint. Note - if you're staying in spot 10 make sure you're driving a small car, there's only room for one car and my prius barely fit. The spot itself was nice though.

Great place to camp. Campground was amazing, right next to the Umpqua river. Sites are clean and big. Will be planning another camping trip in the future.

River access is quite treacherous in spots due to what appears to be high-water erosion damage from some years ago. Possibly due to the high water as well, there is quite a bit of garbage in the trees between the campsites and the river. Also, our first day there they had no firewood. We had to go into Roseburg to find firewood for sale.

Checked in at 8:00 p.m. on a week night in January. One other camper in about a dozen sites. Vehicle did not work well in site, so asked camp host if it would be alright to move to another non-reserved site for the night. Camp host obviously annoyed and agitated with request. Accepted site and apologized for bothering him. Camp host remained agitated. Made do with what I had in a nearly empty campground.
He could have been a bit more reasonable. He at least could have been nicer - he's a host, not a warden.

Campsite was exceptionally clean. Each space was well laid out with lots of room. The restrooms were also very clean and well kept. The camp host was around and making sure everyone was enjoying their stay. We had a great visit with family and the fishing was so much fun. Will definitely be back again.
