The water is contaminated with bacteria. There was no notification prior to arriving.

Really nice campground. Large somewhat private spots. Many spots backing up to the river which was really nice, we didnt swim but multiple areas to get down to the river. Bathroom and showers were as previous reviews have said are extremely clean. One camper was letting their dog bark constantly which was a bit of downer but thats camping life. I would highly recommend hiked 2 short hikes to waterfalls. Due to fires some other waterfall hikes were closed but again seems to be the way it goes these days unfortunately. I was surprised that they did let you have a fire in your campsite and wood was reasonable priced. We will for sure come back.

During the month of October 2023 we visited SUSAN CREEK CAMPGROUND BLM on and off several times for a total of 14 days approximately. We have been visiting SUSAN CREEK CAMPGROUND for a period of 20 years. It is a gem in the Oregon Cascades and without a doubt probably, our favorite place to stay. Even though at this time, SUSAN CREEK CAMPGROUND is surrounded by burned forest land, which ends a few miles up the highway 138; this did not, and the rain that accompanied us on our trip to SUSAN CREEK did not ruin the experience. Without a doubt, hands-down, and deserves total acknowledgment, are the efforts, extremely outgoing, and highly notable efforts of our hosts; Victor and Cresta. We made reservations on Recreation.gov. Cresta & Victor are both very very nice people. They are both very well educated very friendly and very outgoing. They also both observe everyones privacy. The restrooms were always perfectly clean and smelled very good. The showers were always clean. The water was always very hot. As all who have been to SUSAN CREEK know this is a hands-down, SUSAN CREEK has a famous reputation for this. I had noticed that each day, almost like clockwork in the morning. Victor and Cresta would be going from campsite to campsite in the same routine, raking blowing cleaning up after campers and working extremely methodically and highly Organized Way, Cresta would even Rake, artistic type patterns with her rake at the campsite rapidly and move on. I had many fine enjoyable conversations with Victor & Cresta. I am very much hoping to see them next year as our host at SUSAN CREEK CAMPGROUND.

This was one of the nicest campgrounds I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying. Campsite ground - immaculate. Fire pits and grills - spotless. Free showers. Tree and shrub buffer between sites so you don’t hear your neighbors. The sites are even situated so that your site doesn’t point directly into the adjacent site giving you even more privacy. The hosts were extremely nice and helpful. Susan Creek was better than any site I’ve camped at any National or State Park in CA, TX, AZ, UT, WY, or OR. The proximity to the local waterfalls is just lagniappe. 10/10 - 5 Stars.

A gorgeous spot, with river and hikes right from the campground. No need to drive anywhere.

Camp hosts were wonderful. Camp was clean and beautiful, despite last years fires… only wish the showers were open

This is an oasis among burned out areas from wildfires from 3020. Beautiful campground.

Very nice campground, very clean and friendly camp hosts. You can hear (but not see really) the Umpqua River from the riverside campsites. A bit too manicured for me, but great place to get away to for the weekend.
