Susan Creek is a gem of a campground. Meticulously tended and loved. The sites are beautiful with huge trees and the N Umpqua running through it.

Hosts do a great job keeping campsites clean and reservations organized. Hot showers are great.

It's was overall a great experience. One set of campers next to us was a bit rude.

Campground is great, entrance from westbound 138 is a bit of a trick, the turn is about 60 degrees and the road just opens to 2 west bound lanes about 200 feet before the turn, even with turn signals on I almost got re-ended.

A once beautiful area, now struggling, as it digs its roots even deeper to recover from the Wildfire that devastated most of the surrounding acres. The park is still in pretty fair condition all things considered. There is a park host who was less than friendly and was very much a stickler about some very particular rules. God forbid, do NOT get even a tire off of the blacktop and onto the gravel, he will write you a warning! Not that he can enforce it in any way, but geez louise!

It is always a pleasure to stay at Susan Creek Campground. The sites are neat and tidy upon arrival and the facilities are kept clean due to the extra care from the campground hosts, Marty and Craig. The sites are well spaced with a nice buffer of trees and flora between them. There are easy beautiful hiking trails along the Umpqua River that take you down to the day use area that is across from the trail back to Susan Creek Falls. Unfortunately the trail back to the falls is currently closed due to last seasons fire damage. This campground is a good place to stay for day trips to other falls in the area or even to Diamond Lake.
