It seemed like a typical early December Oregon campground. It was cold, foggy, wet, and covered in moss and ferns everywhere. It was very peaceful and quiet. The hosts were exceptionally accommodating. It had been raining for a few days, so they didn't have any firewood split, but they said I could help myself if I were willing to split it. Deal accepted. As with almost every Federal campground I have been to the restroom was spotless, as was the entire site. A walk in the woods and down to the river was a nice wind down after a long day of driving.

Camp Hosts Cresta and Victor are a delight and keep the place immaculate. Very impressed and will return.

Space 17, 4/2023 Wow! Most definitely the cleanest and nicest BLM campground I've been to. Wonderful bathroom, flush toilet and showers for a small campground. Sites are meticulously maintained. Almost overkill on the cleaning. Space 17 fire pit is too deep, vent holes are too high from cleaning out too deep. Space is located next to host site, occasionally a motion light from the host site would light up space 17, road noise is minimal. Space is located away from the river, soothing water noise perfect db level (water flow was high). I would definitely visit again.

Can’t speak of the campground itself, only stayed for a few hours, but the campsite was actually very nice, spacious, and secluded. The latter amenity turned out to be a major problem as my family and i were awakened in the middle of the night by some weirdo or serial killer, or drunk/drugged hobo with a gun. This person attempted to open our trailer door, then pulled out a pistol after not finding success and pointed it at me from behind the door. My wife and i screamed for help, expecting the camp host who was on a site adjacent to ours to wake up and come investigate, but no. I thought, “he must be a deep sleeper”. I then set off my car’s deafeningly loud alarm for 2 minutes. Intruder gone, but camp host/security still MIA. Forth call to 911 finally goes through. Cops arrive, ask them to wait 15 minutes while we pack our things at 230am and they oblige. Bolted out of there and drove far, far away. This is probably just some freak occurrence, but it can happen again. In a place with very bad cell phone reception, you would expect much better response from the camp host.
