HORRIBLE! I reserved an RV site and the pic made it seem like it was surrounded by trees. When i got there I saw the spots were packed together with literally ZERO separation between sites. Drove up to my slot and the large dog at the site next to me lunged and barked and his leash went right up to the log separating our 2 slots. There was no way this was going to work for me traveling with a cat on her harness and tie out and a small dog scared of larger aggressive dogs! Also, there are ZERO restrooms in this loop. I guess they assume everyone who has an rv has a working toilet, but I have a small convertible camper van and my toilet folds away and is only for emergencies. Why would I drive 4 hrs to be sitting less than 2 feet from strangers? Zero privacy. I wound up having to move to a site without electric hook up and had to move 2 nights in a row b/c there were no spots available for 3 nights, or even 2 nights. I had to leave early anyway b/c my 12 v fridge needs to be plugged in and my powerbank only lasts 1 night before it needs to be plugged in too. I am disabled and the stress of this and having to set up 2x and only get to stay 2 nights instead of 3 was awful.. i was in so much pain from the exxtra work i couldn't even do anything the next day. I called to try to get a partial refund and they only refunded me $22.10. So instead of getting the reservation for half off, as I am entitled to with my disabled access pass, I wound up paying tripple what i should have for a standard, non-electric campsite. Horrible customer service! They need to post accurate photos and give an accurate description of the site so you can make an informed decision. Also, while the 2 loop b spots i wound up being much more private and "naturey", there was no campground host on any of the days, I did nbot see a single ranger or staff person patrolling the entire time I was there and not even an emergency call alarm. Will never stay here again!

The grounds and hot springs were amazing and the staff and camp host were very helpful. Thank you!

We were excited to stay in the national park, but this campground was disappointing--just a gravel parking lot. We knew that there were no showers, but the site said that there were flush toilets. When we arrived at the campground, the hosts (who were the best thing about this campground) told us that was the tricky part. We had to walk .2 miles to the tent campground to get to the toilet. Not fun in the middle of the night. $58 seems a little pricey for this campground with no amenities.

The campsite was easy to access. It had water and electric. The camp host was very helpful. Give tips for hiking the local trails and visiting waterfalls, etc. campground was quiet and very close to the Hot Springs.

We had RV reservations. Two nights. Our RV assigned site had a large HANDICAPPED PARKING sign on it. We are not handicapped and did not request this. There was nowhere else for us to park. We felt very uneasy about this.

We had a really nice time at Sol Duc. Obviously, the hot springs are a must. They are a bit different than what we are used to because we come from an area where there are natural hot springs in abundance, but it was nice to be able to shower before and after and that it was so clean. You have to make a reservation on site, but that made it so that it wasn't very busy. We stayed in the RV sites, which were nice, but we don't have a bathroom in our camper and the bathrooms are about an 8 minute walk through the trees, then through a parking lot, then through some more trees. It's a nice walk during the day, as long as you plan ahead, but I didn't feel comfortable doing it by myself at night. The RV sites are super close to the hot springs, and there is a trail that goes from the hot springs to the RV sites and then to the campground. Another must do is the hike to the Sol Duc Falls. It's not too strenuous, and totally worth it! Overall our experience was very nice. Keep in mind that there are critters, so make sure to keep all of your things secure and do not leave anything smelly outside.

No real store within 40 minute drive for basic corner store. $15 per person to go into hot springs for 1.5 hours upon reservation and $30 just to get to over priced RV site that was awful. They lost my second one reservation for the hot springs. Nothing to do at campsites; it was boring. Sigh. I always had such fond memories of sol duc. We won’t be coming back.
