Lovely place: lush green and beautiful, plenty of hikes around - easy and more challenging. Hot springs pools in a walking distance - loved relaxing and swimming

We were in site A33. The Recreation.gov web site calls the driveway grade for A33 slight. I would call the grade at least medium. We were unable to get our 27 foot Class C motorhome level in A33 even though we used all of the 25 Lynx leveling blocks we carry. The Ancient Groves Trail about 3 miles north of the campground is definitely worth hiking. Although not marked on the road, there is RV parking for the trail at the Scndry Trailhead which is shown on Google Maps. I downloaded an offline map of the area from Google Maps before the trip.

It was a decent campground. There is a nice trail to the resort. The spot that I reserved was taken by someone else when I got there and there was no camp host. I had to track someone down to clear up the confusion and get me a new camp spot.

I really like that theres a website to actually reserve a campsite! I gave it, not the full 5 stars, just because theres a few kinks to work out. The campsite numbers dont correlate to the sites map numbers. When I reserved mine I didnt know which site or where it was located. When I arrived there was no room for my tent, only a little one, but it had a big puddle (winters in WA ;) ). We ended up clearing it with the host to change to a first-come site (not peak season) that was awesome!

Apart from 50% of the campsites being quite exposed to the road this is one of the best campgrounds I've been to. Facilities were excellent, water tap is right there and the camp host was very gracious and helpful.

Despite the cold and rain (unexpected given the weather report) it was a blast!!! The spots vary in size and we blindly rented two; one could have held four tents and the other barely held one. Be mindful when you pick a spot.

The cold was offset by the hot springs! It is worth the expense to take a dip in the pool. Remember to drink plenty of water before you go and take your time when getting out of the pool. The heat can cause you to feel a bit dizzy.

We found out favorite spot and will return throughout the year.

The best part for me, absolutely ZERO mobile signal. It was a great opportunity to spend time with my children where they could not connect to anything but nature.
