Nice campground in the rain forest. Trails are accessible from the campground. Clean and peaceful place.

We stayed here because its the only campground that has showers which are at the Sol Duc Resort; where the hot springs are. What they dont tell you you have to make a $18 reservation at the hot springs to use the showers. You cannot just buy a shower. One of the employees told me that Aramark owns the hot springs and cabins, but not the campground, so they dont make money off the people staying there, so selling $18 showers is how they make their money. Now youve paid $18 for your shower and go to take it, youll find the shower area is open; there are no curtains or doors separating the showers. Youll also find there are no towel hooks. So now youd taken your $18 shower, exposed yourself to your open shower compatriots, you need to walk across the locker room, dripping the whole way there, to get to your towel. Its unacceptable any of this is allowed. The campground itself is quite lovely. The restrooms were clean and always stocked (by Aramark).

Gorgeous forest! The campsites are a little small but its pretty and the river and hot springs are close.

There was NO toilet paper in the women's toilet on Sunday or Monday. The parking space for our site was very narrow and short, adjacent and parallel to the road.

It is too bad people make reservations and do not cancel if they cant make it. This trip we had only one campsite to choose from. it was really small and not in a nice setting. Nice there are a few sites that do not require reservations. about ten more of these would be good.Sol Duc is lovely but the park is in desperate need of upkeep. many of the tables at the camp sites are falling apart. There is an old amphitheater that is not in use that looks shabby and uncared for. This valuable space could be used as day use or for more campsites. would be nice to have more wastewater stations ( for dishwashing). The campsites could use some cleaning up. I know this is camping but for the price, getting a crew in to clean up debris would be nice. There are parts of the trail to the lodge that are unsafe. The basic restrooms are very old and though they are clean, they need to be updated. many of the parks now offer single use restrooms which are nice. showers should be offered again because of the cost of camping,We love YURTS. Put in a few yurts where the amphitheater is. you could recoup the cost in a year.Overall, seems like the caretakers of this campground are not giving it the care it needs. The campground host I encountered was very nice and pleasant and helpful.Would love to know if there are plans to do some improvements to this well used campground.

Gorgeous spacious campground, well attended bathrooms, incredibly quiet and peaceful bribers, and friendly host. We loved the hike off of the campground, and how close it was to the hot springs. I wish we had more time.

This campsite is very small because of the slanty hill that it sits on. If you have a bigger tent or are camping with more than 2 people, I do not recommend this site. There is only one remotely flat spot and it is very close to the fire pit, so once you pitch your tent, you can't safely build a fire. There are some nice places to hang a hammock though so that's something!

Camp host assisted in switching campsites when our tent didn't fit on the site we reserved. Hot springs were closed to campground guests during Covid, but hopefully can reopen soon.
