One building for restrooms was locked and the other one was broken.

I reserved site number 36 six months in advance. We have never stayed here before. I could not find the site, but after driving around for a half an hour, I found it in the front parking lot. It was the worst camping experience that we ever had. We could not change sites as they were already reserved. So we spent seven days listening to doors slam, being asked if I was the campground host, giving directions to hikes, being woke up at 3:00 a.m. by voices, dogs, engines.

Proper site and friendly rangers

The campsite should not be booked as a tent site. The only level place to put up a tent is just the edge of the parking lot. The tree coverage at the site is not level and has lots of roots. This site is best for car camping or vans.

Amazing camping

Sol Duc is gorgeous and peaceful. We booked the accessible site, and it was fine. However, it was too near the parking lot and restroom area for our liking. The camp host helped us move to an open site farther back in the loop.

Great campground, but totally disappointed by the hot springs. The pools wete so dirty with tons of floating debris. We were grossed out and would not let our family go in after we tested it out. Just unacceptable. Dont waste your money on the hot spring. Disgustingly dirty.

The campground is great, access to river and close to hot springs resort. HOWEVER, Loop A, space 36 is not an acceptable campground for a tent bigger than 2 person tent, and is really unpleasant for tent camping overall. The tent pad is shoved between two trees and backs against vegetation up to another campsite, with low hanging limbs, with huge roots snaking along tent pad. Our tent did not fit in the space and we had to set it up on paved area (see below), obviously less than ideal. The space is an accessible campground, so large paved area for wheelchair, and it would be great for a van or vehicle to use/park on the concrete pad. However, it has been clearly not cared for (firepit covered by overhanging plants) and above re: tent pad/overhanging limbs/roots. I would not recommend this space in the campground for tent campers.

It was a beautiful place with a very nice walk to the gorgeous falls.

We somehow ended up with the handicap campsite, so our car was parked in the spots rather than our actual campsite so that was interesting since we were in a campervan. There are only two staws in the bathrooms. The campsite leads to the trails so that was nice!

The campground it self was clean and nice to walk around. However, it had large groups of people that were loud and rude. As for the Hot Springs they allow to many people in and you end up sitting on top of each other. (uckie) and not very relaxing. The National Park is beautiful!
