RV sites are very close to each other.the most annoying part is we wanted a site in loop A but everything was booked and full but there were at least 10 sites that were reserved with no shows on a Friday and Saturday night. This reservation system needs some sort of overhaul to prevent these no shows. Seems like a very national park we try to get a reservation in thats full always has a lot of no shows. There needs to be more first come first serve spots available to avoid this problem. Its not fair to those who actually want to camp.

We got lucky on the weather for a mid October trip. We used rv spot 8 which had a broken 30A breaker. Fortunately for us we had a dogbone that allowed us to hook our 30A trailer to the working 50A plug instead of the broken 30A. The hotsprings were nice but I think we were about a month late to see the salmon jumping up the falls.

The RV park is nothing but an gravelled parkinglot. No showers near the RV parking. No privacy at all. The fees do not include a wastewater dump. The campground for tents is beautiful! The hot water spring pool is old but beautiful and expensive: over 75 dollars for a family of 4 and towels are not included. There are timeslots so everyone wants to shower at the same time, and there are not enough showers. The showers have no doors, some people shower naked, others in their swimming attire. if you are uncomfortable with nakedness, keep this in mind. Most shopworkers were not friendly.

The electric loop of the campground was a gravel parking lot with no bathroom facilities for this loop. But electric was working fine.

The RV area is well below standard for the price we paid. We didnt have a camp host at the RV parking lot so many people who had questions would be asking us. The front desk person at the lodge was not helpful at all and we felt that a question was an imposition. Honestly they shouldnt have a front end job! With no Wifi or cell coverage Im not sure how someone who didnt book ahead would know what spot they could go into. So its poorly organized and the campers shouldnt be the people assisting new arrivals.

Hot Springs were nice, hot but kids are jumping in so it's hard to relax. It is a family place so just expect more of a pool atmosphere than relaxing hot springs. I did like the fact that you have to reserve a time slot for the water, I think it helped keep it from being to crowded. The rv spots are nice. I found customer service lacking, I was not offered a map or told where restrooms were. Since I assumed we would have one at the rv park section, I was sadly let down. After walking back to the resort in the morning the lady at the desk was not helpful but allowed us to just use the resorts restrooms. I still have no idea where the Campground restrooms were haha. We had no service or incredibly spotty service so I couldn't look online. It was cool to see the fog roll in over the tree tops. Also the drive to it is gorgeous. We meant to hike to the falls but were unable to at the last minute and regret not doing it. Small parking lot as well at the hot springs. We stayed in the rv section with an electric campervan. Electric at the park worked great for us. It wouldn't be a bad place to stay at for visiting lake Crescent either.

Not very nice campground for the price they charge. Could do the falls hike and the hot springs and stay somewhere else.

My family and I enjoyed our trip. We will probably be back as soon as possible!

When we arrived at our camping spot it was taken and the tenets were not there to move their camper. Thankfully another spot opened up about an hour after we arrived and we were able to hook up our camper. It was an inconvenience for sure and disappointing to find out that nothing could be done and we wouldn't have had a spot for the night or even a refund. However, things were able to be okay with another spot opening up. The camp host was really nice to deal with and really tried to help us out.

The Olympic Peninsula is overwhelmingly beautiful. The Sol Duc campground allows immersion in this amazing forest. The only down side, which is an important one these days, is that there is absolutely no cell phone or internet access. None, zero, nada. If you have to combine some work with camping travel, then this is a serious issue. Otherwise the place is wonderful. If I return (and I hope to) I'll probably bring a satellite dish... Arrgh....

No host and no sign posted at the entrance that it's a campground. Lots of people trying to drive through but it's a dead end and they stir up lots of dust. No indication that sites are subject to reservation so people were occupying sites already reserved by others. What terrible management.

Campground is right next to the hot spring, so convenient! We had a RV hook up site which is not so spacious as the non-hook up side campground. The campground is very nice, spacious and private. The campground location is wonderful, close to sol duc falls hiking and the hot spring pool. Highly recommend it.
