Rv spots are just a big parking lot, nothing like other NPS campgrounds

Very beautiful area overall. The RV section of the campground is spartan and what I call "parking lot style." The picnic tables are extremely weathered and in bad shape--I would not use ours. We have a smaller RV and will stay in the main campground with our generator, where it is far prettier, for our susequent visits. What we DID enjoy about the RV campground is it had easy access to the hotsprings, lodge, and showers, as well as a cool little river access (I spent my mornings there with my coffee). In addition, trails join the RV camp with Loops A & B of the main campground, and on up to the Sol Duc Falls. There is almost no cell service in the area ,although we found "hot spots" in Loop A and near the Ampitheater where we could make calls and text.

RV camping with electric is very different from the regular camp spots. It's basically a parking lot. There is electric, no water and no bathrooms available. Just a very crowded parking lot with the sites very close together. Just didn't expect it.

Sites are small and compact. Frustrating to pay for a spot AND entrance fees into the park.
The campsites were small but functional. Very nice access to trails and the hot springs.

Clearly the people working for the company managing the Hot Springs dont care for the people running the campgrounds (Natl Parks) and vice-versa. The result was a rude experience for the guests and an overall bad atmosphere at the resort. Whats the deal? We confirmed our bad experience with others. So bad we left after day 1 of our booked reservation

RV court was a depressing parking lot. There wasn't even a layer of gravel added to help with the muddy situation when it rains. Upon speaking to all of our neighbors, they all felt the same disappointment with the camp ground. However, as we explored the other campgrounds on Loop A and Loop B, they were much better- tucked into trees and wilderness. We would have preferred dry camping in the other sites rather than staying in the RV Court and having full hookups for our trailer. Save yourself the trouble and find another campsite to stay in during your vacation.

Really enjoyed soaking in the 3 hot pools and 1 cool pool. Camped in the RV resort with my trailer. Campground was very muddy and in need of a new gravel surface in the campground.

The Sol Duc RV camping area is a very plain parking area with electric and water hook-ups. The sewer dump is located in another parking lot and no information about it is posted for RV campers. The close proximity of the RV lot to the Olympic national park and the beautiful road to get there are the best reasons to stay here.
There should be photos of the campsites on the website. Had I known that it was going to be a gravel lot, parked right next to someone's barking dogs I would not have made the 3 hour trip. I reserved and paid for two nights but left after one night, rather not spend my free time like that.

As many others have noted, the RV sites are pretty bad. The web site does not make it at all clear that they are not part of the main Sol Duc campground, they are in fact in a gravel parking lot adjacent to the hot springs. It was clearly an add-on to the hot springs business and was totally separate from the National Park campground until the NPS contracted out the management of that campground. Now they refer to it all as the same place, but the experience looks night and day. The "real" campground sites (Loop A and Loop B) look lovely. The RV sites are not. They are crammed together in a dirt/gravel parking lot with only a log separating the spots. The picnic table and fire ring are then behind each site, again with nothing separating these areas, so you're right on top of your neighbors. It was dry for our stay so we fortunately didn't experience the mud that others have here, but we did get our share of dust clouds kicked up by people arriving and departing. Also note there are no restrooms or showers anywhere near this parking lot. All in all a very poor experience, and I feel a bit deceived as there was nothing I could find to note that the experience was going to be so different. The RV sites aren't noted on the campground map on the site, so there's no indication that the sites aren't in the same area as Loop A and B sites. There are no pictures either. Sol Duc is lovely, we really enjoyed our hike, but we hated the RV site.

We were not impressed with the facilities at the Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort Campground. As a disclaimer, we had just finished a trip through Oregon's state parks, which we found to be incredibly clean and affordable. First, the RV spots were very tiny and packed close together. This was a surprise, given how expensive the nightly rate is. The entire area was an absolute mud pit and did not appear to be maintained at all. Second, as we missed the fine print in our confirmation email, we were very surprised to be charged $30 for a seven-day park pass just to drive down the road 10 minutes off the highway to get to the resort. I told the park ranger that we were only there for the night and returning home the next day, but there is no way around this charge. As I said, this is in the fine print, so we accept responsibility for it, but given the high nightly rate in the first place, it feels like a cash-grab to charge an extra $30 just to drive to our campsite from the highway when we're not using any other areas of the park.Third, while the hot springs themselves were enjoyable, the facilities were woefully disappointing. It was very busy and there were not nearly enough showers or lockers (many of which were broken anyway). I managed to snag a locker at one point, then after showering it would not reopen. Fortunately another guest was able to go to the front desk to get a master key for me, to save me from having to go out front wearing nothing but a towel (there were no female staff working so the male staff would just give the master key to anyone who asked for it, btw). We expected better given that we each paid $15 for entry.Overall, while we liked the hot springs, we did not find that the campground nor the facilities were worth the price of admission.

Our first time using the RV camping area. Convenient 10 minute walk to the hot springs pools and restaurant. No restrooms at the RV area. Use either the resort bathrooms or a hike to the tent camping area. The RV camping surface is dirt and gravel and needed grading. Lots of puddles when it rains. Electric and water hookups, no sewer. Beautiful location and very nice hot springs facilities and restaurant.
Campground was fine. Hot springs were a waste of time and money.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
