First time exploring the Olympics, and this side of the park had a lot to offer in terms of longer hikes, and is located near Crescent. I loved how spacious this particular campsite is; it would make a great group site with the ones to either side, as they kind of blend into each other. The bathroom is nearby, and the creek beside us was lovely to hear all day. I would book this site again in the future. Most people near us just slept in their vans/rv, so it felt like we had the site to ourselves.

Do not reserve campsites 8 through 11! I was incredibly disappointed with my experience at Sol Duc campground. I arrived to campsite 9 for my reservation and was immediately surprised to find that, unlike at most campsites where I can pull my vehicle into the site in relative privacy with plenty of space to get out/unpack/etc., I had to park directly next to a stranger about 40 feet from the site. Now, if this was the only issue I wouldn't complain. However, this was only the beginning. As my partner and I got out of our car, we realized that we couldn't tell where our campsite ended and our neighbors' began. As we inspected the area further, we realized that the only place that we could pitch out tent was *literally* 10 feet from the tent of our neighbors - eight men on some sort of bachelors trip. Literally everything we said would be heard by our neighbors and vice versa - not exactly a peaceful getaway. At this point, my partner and I called it. We were going staying here for two nights, so we didn't want to deal with essentially sharing a campsite with strangers. So, we left the site and paid to reserve one of the five walk-up sites that were fortunately still available.---Also, while this doesn't affect my review of the campground, since it's unrelated, I thought I would let other visitors know that showers are not available for purchase at the "hot spring" (it's really just a pool with hot water and added minerals - there aren't even natural hot springs in the area?) which came as a surprise to my partner. To shower, you'll need to purchase access to the pool, which is $18. Seems like a missed opportunity to not provide cheap showers, but that's not the end of the world.

Beautiful campground. No host on site. Walking distance to waterfalls and the resort. Showers available for $18 per person at the resort

It was early season, a lot of snow, bathrooms closed and sites not cleared. They need to repair some of picnic tables at sites, not sure if it’s bear damage or wear and tear. Overall beautiful location, much better when it’s warmer.

Nicely located campground and very clean! Only complaint is I wish the spots were a little more private and had better parking. I stayed in spot 9 and the people in spot 10 had gotten there before us and took up the little parking there was to begin with in front of our spot. Also the spot was a down a little hill and although it was maybe 25 yards away it makes the packing and unpacking take a bit longer. The bear box was in the middle of the parking and campsite so it was hard when cooking meals for example and going back and forth. It is connected to the trails on that side of the park so that is a major bonus and I would camp there again!

We were in campsite #9 which has access to the river but the entire time we were there each morning people kept coming through our campsite while we were having breakfast to take a short cut to the river. That was pretty annoying and inconsiderate as they wouldnt appreciate if we walked through their campsite.

Minimal parking space(s), some sites with more parking than others. At time of booking, available space not specified, reservation said up to 2 vehicles but only room for 1. Hot springs were packed and nearly shoulder to shoulder.

Wow! What an amazing campground. Don't bother cooking your own breakfast. You must eat there!

Campsites are open - so know that you will have minimal privacy from neighbors. With the campfire ban, most of the reservations were no shows so campground was quiet. Some of the sites had broken tables; no way to dry hands after using restroom so bring your own towel. Hot springs nearby (walk in reservations required). Restaurant offers limited menu, to go only. Overall good experience but likely wont return d/t limited privacy and driving distance to closest store and trails.

Nice site with room for two decent size tents. Sites on the river side have nice access to the river but you have to trek up and down a little slope from the parking area which can get a bit annoying with food every night. We had a visitor the first night that we are pretty sure was a bear based on tracks and scat so make sure you store your food properly!

Great facilities. Campsites are a little cramped near neighbors

Staff was friendly. Electric car charging available at a couple different locations in the parking lots. However most of the showers in the mens locker room were broken during my visit and had tools attached to them for handles. Not a deal breaker, just super inconvenient after a soak in the pools. Otherwise, solid fun.
