Stayed in the campground with electric and water hookups. It rained some during our stay, the camping area turned into mud. I would prepare for such.

While we were extremely positive about our stay in the Olympic National Park, we are really disappointed by our stay at Sol Duc. The camping area that is reserved for the RVs is nothing else than a parking lot with electricity. This is not what we expect from a NPS campground at all.
Front desk staff very helpful in allowing us to change our camping reservation after a change of vehicle (from a RV spot to an individual tent spot) occurred at the last minute. All camp spots were full but last minute cancellations allowed my daughter and I to have a much nicer location in the campground as opposed to the RV spot. I appreciated the flexibility the staff showed at Sol Duc Hot Springs. They were very friendly, gave us the time to educate us on the process; even as busy as it was.
The location is outstanding. It is a 5 minute walk from the RV campground to the hot springs spa. Hike to Sol Duc Falls or drive the 3 miles to the parking lot at the end of the road and take a short walk the rest of the way. Also a reasonable driving distance for a day trip to Cape Flattery as all points on the north side of Olympic National Park. Plan to be off grid, including the main lodge, for any form of WiFi or Cell service.
Great to soak in the hot springs, watch the salmon jump the falls, and a lot of great hiking trails.

Everything was wonderful, the campsite was a little small. One thing that kept me from giving 5 stars was the restaurant at the resort. There was one person working, which to me was fine because the restaurant is tiny! But the guy in there should never with alone again. It was absolutely ridiculous how slow this guy was going, from waiting 15 minutes up front before he even acknowledged my party, to him being rude and pushing me and my kids order behind two other tables, we ending up leaving hungry an hour after getting there with not ever eating.

Rv site was like an Rv park, separate from normal sites, less room

It was my first time visiting Sol Duc and I was very impressed. The short hike to Sol Duc Falls was beautiful. The whole family enjoyed the scenery and waterfalls. Lastly, Hot Spring is outstanding experience. I definitely highly recommend Sol Duc Hot Spring Resort.
The RV areas camp host had left and there were blue tarps hanging from the trees and there were Christmas lights still hung up and plugged in 24 hours a day. I question the folks from the vendor that is responsible but they weren’t interested in cleaning up the spot. Disappointing. Also the pricing changed for the pools and it is not affordable for a family or even multiple visits a day for a couple. Again disappointing, the vendor is not supplying value or quality. The workers are very polite.
Really enjoyed our weekend in the RV camping area. Very peaceful and was nice to soak in the hot springs. the Hike to the Sol Duc falls was very nice and a relatively easy hike. We also stopped by the Salmon Cascades view point and were lucky to see a lot of spring chinook jumping up the falls! Very cool to see that happening real time and it was just seconds from the parking lot. The lodge has a restaurant which is currently take out only and also has a small store to get food, beverages, beer and wine.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
