Lovely beach, campground is ok, but like many national parks, forests etc, in need of some upkeep. I also noticed the large number of vacant campsites despite the campground always being 100% reserved. This is due to many things, such as the refund policy, I mean if you are not going to refund me for my reservation then why should anyone cancel it. Also, I made my reservation two weeks in advance, something came up and I wanted to change my 7 days reservation to 5 days. I was not able to due to rules in the reservation system that did not allow changes for 14 days after making your reservations, essentially meaning that my reservation could not be modified or canceled. So, my campsite sat empty for two nights when someone else could have been there.

Loved it, our site and the relaxed atmosphere. Great for family as well. Will be back again.

We really enjoyed camping here and will again if we are lucky enough to score reservations. The proximity to the beach is fantastic and for us was the highlight. If you have a large tent, like we did, pay attention to tent pad size in the description. Our site F2 was in direct view of our neighbors. Luckily that wasnt an issue since they had an RV, but something to note. Bathroom availability can be a bit of an issue. There were only two stalls per gender to service a pretty large area. It really just depends on how many people are tent camping vs RVing. When we went there were a lot of tent campers so the restrooms got crowded and only one sink worked. Another thing was getting water. Our location by the restrooms was out of service so we needed to go to the next restroom over and that was a pretty far walk to carry water. Those issues were really not a big deal for us, but just giving others a heads up. Overall a really great campground and we hope to camp here again!

Was there for one night. If you like white noise when you sleep youre going to love the sound of the waves flowing in from the ocean. Great spot to experience the coast at Olympic National Park!

Site F002 was good location but short and skinny. We found it very private. The map indicates it is on the shoreline but there is no view due to vegetation. The walkway access to the beach is near the overflow lot. Easy walk down to beach where we saw lots of interesting things. I parked the truck sideways in front of trailer to fit in. Got a note on my windshield from our host that I had to move to the overflow lot. Walking around the campground I saw at least 10 other tow vehicles which had also parked in front of their trailers as I did. I was the only one with a note I could see and the only one who moved to the overflow lot. GRRRR but ok. This campground is shady. Not enough sun to keep batteries charged with solar. The bathrooms were clean and had running water. Also used the dump station once, which was easy access. You will need to exit by driving through loop D of campground to turnaround. There was also a fresh water fill past the dump station at a safe distance from the dump. It was great to see the fresh water was not right next to the dump station. In all we had an enjoyable visit and I would return here. Ruby Beach was the highlight of our adventures here. We went twice at low tide and once at high tide. Lots of ocean life like starfish to see here. I understand the access to Ruby is closing July 2022. Try to schedule your visit to avoid this closure. We also went to the Hoh Rainforest one day. Make sure to take your rain gear up there. Stop at the little store/cafe on the way up. It is an interesting visit. They serve a great breakfast. We enjoyed the morning hikes at Hoh. The afternoon got very crowded.

I have been camping at Kalaloch my whole life and this year has been on of the worst years! Between the Rangers and camp hosts patrolling the campground for violations and not maintaining the campground its not a the great place it used to be!The website never mentioned that the bathroom by E loop was being remodeled (the whole week were there not on person was working on it.) This was my childhood favorite place and the last few years it hasnt even remotely been the same. The Park Rangers need to go back to educating and being their for people not jus Law Enforcement!!
