Kalaloch has a beautiful combination of forest and ocean. We stayed in site A43 and it was spacious and private. I also appreciated its proximity to the restrooms. Restrooms were always clean and well stocked. We attended the ranger lecture and found it entertaining and informative. The park was surprisingly quiet given that it was almost full. At night, we could hear the ocean from our site. However, we could also hear the highway noise as we were not far from the road but it wasnt constant. When we walked the campground, we were impressed with how unique each site was and the careful planning that was used in clearing the least trees possible. We would definitely return.

Perfectly as advertised! You are definitely unplugged but still have the amenities needed for extra comfort. We took our 2 & 3 year olds with us and the canopy cover provided enough shade in the early evening to go to bed before the sun went down. Being steps from the beach was a huge perk! The mercantile shop just down the road was a great spot to pick up local firewood and a quick soft serve cone.

Make sure you pack your own hand soap and or sanitizer. No bathrooms have soap which is gross and unsanitary. Other than that it was a great trip and beautiful weather.
