We like this great location and closeness to beautiful beach. This particular site is the smallest site location i have ever to.

Kalaloch is a magical world away from the daily grind. Such magnificent scenery. Such a wonderful getaway.

This is a very beautiful place. Love the campground. The lodge has great services. Love the buffet breakfast there during the camping season. The view is breathtaking.

I absolutely love the location. We had a site near a beach path that let to the ocean and spent hours and hours wading, picnicking, beachcombing and flying kites at the beach. It was stunningly beautiful. We felt like one of nature's most beautiful playgrounds was in our backyard. The only gigantic drawback was our campsite. We were in a site that literally had no barrier (not even space) between us and our neighbors. They could hear our conversations and we could hear theirs. Our picnic table were probably no more than 15 feet from theirs. It was like we were sharing a single site. It was hard to pretend that you didn't notice them. So my advice is to read the descriptions of the sites very carefully. Some are very small (not accommodating to anything other than sleeping in your vehicle or a very small tent), some lack privacy and some back up right to highway 101 so the traffic noise is prominent and I think traffic may also even be visible. Bathrooms are rudimentary - aging, cold water only and no soap dispensers. All that said, I would go back in a heartbeat because of the access to the beautiful locale. I would just do a little better job vetting campsites next time.

Kalaloch is our favorite beach camping spot. That being said we are always disappointed at the number of sites that remain empty because people don’t cancel their reservations.
Also this time around I really noticed that a number of restrooms are really showing their wear…leaky faucet in one restroom, hole in the floor which should be covered with a grate, wood chipping away around windows.
The whole area lost power one day due to the extreme heat so had to use restrooms at store and lodge due to sewage backups. This, of course, was no fault of the park.

The check in was strange. There were no hosts to give us info. Many campers were wandering around wondering what to do. Finally found a list on the board telling us to proceed to the camp site. Camp site was very small and the sites were very close together, with nothing to separate us from neighbors. It was very close to the beach which was great. Very quiet, never heard generators or neighbors. Our site was across from the rest room and trash, but no sounds or smells annoyed us. The lodge was nearby, but we didn't know that. Prices were decent, but wood we bought was wet. As was all wood we bought in the area. The beach was magnificent.
