It is a beautiful location. I love that the campsites are in the woods, but the beach is very close by. The tree of life was very interesting to see, as well as all of the drift wood structures on the beach. I recommend going to beach 4 at low tide to see the tide pools. Those were also incredible. Some of the campsite are close to the highway, which does have frequent road noise. and you might need to bring your own soap for the restrooms. Otherwise everything is great.

Amazing location and beach, but the ground is pretty rocky and it got very cold at night for summer

This was our first campground during our PCH road trip, and we did tent camping at A048. This campground was nice and the campsite was pretty spacious. It wasn't the biggest site we've stayed at and we did have neighbors on both sides, but we still had room to move around quite a bit and it was blocked by enough vegetation to provide some privacy. We booked around 2 months in advance and really wished we could have had a beach view, but the website would not let us reserve those spots for some reason. However, we had a lot of beautiful tree coverage, which was nice because it was still in Washington's rainy season. We loved that it was right next to the beach and not far from a lot of places we wanted to go to (i.e. Tree of Life, Ruby Beach, Hoh Rainforest, Big Cedar Tree, etc.). The people were polite, the bathrooms were clean, and they had a pump with drinking water at the beginning of the loop. I thought this location had showers, but we were not able to locate them (we didn't look very hard because we got in late and left early). I wish we could have had more time here.
