The campsite and overall experience was, as usual, wonderful. We enjoyed time at Kalaloch, Beach 4 and even took a drive around Lk Quinalt.

We loved this campsite. Perfect location, beautiful beach, Tree of Life was sick, nice washroom facilities, bonus points for having electricity in washrooms.

Nice little campground, but would never stay there again when it’s so crowded. Definitely more of a week day spot. This site is super close to neighboring sites and did not feel private. The ground was too hard to stake a tent, due to wind I ended up car camping, which I’m grateful for because the car was a lot more quiet than my noisy neighbors. Not many beach view sites at this campground, mainly some RV sites in the far north circle.

We stayed at the Kalaloch Campground, site C005. This site is in the forest, so it has plenty of shade and wasn’t too windy. There was a bit of highway noise, though. There’s no view of the coast from the site, but it isn’t a long walk to the beach. This site was close to the bathroom, but it wasn’t too noisy.

I strongly recommend trying to get to beach 4 (3 miles north of here) at low tide. It’s a bit of a scramble to get to the bottom, but this is a good rocky beach for tide pool viewing.

The fishing was great, camp host Gene and Normal were above and beyond
The rangers were informative
But the best thing about it was the Whales in the surf
One of those truly life’s events....
