Since camping sites vary in size, terrain, and noise level of Highway 101, the website provides excellent detailed descriptions to assist you in selecting the site most suitable.

awesome campground. sites in the D group are right off the highway so lots of noise but there are plenty of sites at the facility that are tucked back and closer to the water.

The campground itself is very basic, and wedged between busy US Hwy 101 and cliffs that provide minimal views of the ocean due to shrub and tree growth. Although you can't see the ocean from most of the CG unless you have one of the very few view sites, you can hear the ocean when not drowned out by logging trucks and other traffic on 101. There are a few paths down to the ocean and beach which, in this stretch, is fairly unremarkable but easily walked at lower tides. The campground does provide a launch pad for driving to other beaches which are more interesting and fun.
Very limited fresh water sources in the CG. Dump station requires RV's driving through much of the CG (both going and coming on single road) to the "pleasure" of campers on that road. Limited restrooms.

Had a good time. Campground was clean and mostly quiet at night. I wish campgrounds would look into banning amplified music in campsites. The noise pollution takes away from the camping experience and carries well past the boundaries of the campsite it belongs to.

No water source on our side of campground.

Having at least cold water shower would be a major improvement. Camping may include sleeping in tents but it shouldn't mean no showers for a week.

Site D007 is close to the road but this didn‘t bother us too much. Lot‘s of shade - the sun didn‘t make it through on a cloudy day. Restrooms in loop D could have been cleaner - I had the impression they were frequently used by day visitors.

We stayed near the road, D7 but you could still hear the beach which was nice. Site was really big, could easily fit two small tents. Having the beach in walking distance was awesome.
