The campground was great- I was backpacking the next day and wanted to get an early start so thought I would spend teh night nearby rather than drive from Seattle,The ranger was really helpful since I had brought a hamock tent and the site that I had selected online had no trees small enough to use my straps... that means the trees were huge! Beautiful. She helped me get resituated in minutes.I took a walk to get away from the crowds and went fishing (you don't need a license to fish in the national park, but I carried it anyways). Later in the evening I took a 1-mile walk on the trail and it was quiet and beautiful and heard tons of birds but they are ellusive.Remember that the little store nearby has VERY limited items.

This campground is wonderful! The bathrooms are impressive, with flush toilets! I stayed in camp site 63, which is definitely the best one in that area. It's kind of in the corner, so it has more privacy than some others. Some spots are quite in open view.

Quiet campground in general and our spot was mostly blocked from the road which was nice for the dogs to not be able to see walkers. Flush potties were a close walk. Our spot was shaded and delightful. Cell service with AT&T was minimal. We could walk around the campground with dogs, but most nearby trails are not open to dogs, so make sure to check that out if you're bringing dogs for hiking.

Stunning campground in an unbeatable location. Well maintained bathrooms. Having the general store at the entrance is also super convenient (they have ice, firewood, drinks, snacks, and useful supplies. About the only negative I can think of is it was very hard to hammer tent stakes into the ground because it was hard packed and mixed gravel, so bring a real hammer.
