What an absolute oasis! Not only is the campground incredibly well maintained, but our host (Sue) was an absolute delight. She was a well of information and kindness. The bathrooms were clean, but no soap or hand sanitizer is provided so bring your own! Our spot was the closets walk in from the lot, but still has an INCREDIBLE view. Even with a tent in front of us (77) every night we stayed, we could still clearly see the lake. The walk down the lake is somewhat steep in spots but it truly a quick little walk to go swim, get to the camp store, or fish! We did have some obnoxious neighbors who used the campsite as their personal bar hang out until the wee hours. We spoke to our camp host after 2 nights of it, and she reminded me to come see her if they refuse to quiet down during quiet hours.

My husband and I have driven by Lake Crescent and the Fairholm store hundreds of times and had never been to the campground. It was soooooo worth it! The beauty was breathtaking.

I was worried this spot wouldnt have a great water view (like 77 & 79) because it was one of the furthest walk in sites from the water and theres a campsite (77) DIRECTLY in front of us but it was wonderful! I think part of the continuous beautiful view from our spot was that the campers in front of us only set up their tent right before sundown (or later) and left before we were up. Others say at this campground highway noise is a bother but honestly I didnt notice unless I was directly at the lake front. This spot is conveniently close to the designated parking spot and even closer to the bathrooms. This spot is also only a stones throw away from a water spigot as well. I am in love with this campground and its views from almost every spot!! The only complaint I have is that its very difficult to secure a spot during reservation season and it seems half of the walk in campers only stay at their site to sleep and then presumably finish their Olympic national park itinerary during the day. I wish there was a way for people who actually want to stay at their site their entire stay could get dibs on the most sought out for spots opposed to those who only sleep at the site and leave. Overall though it was an amazing stay!

Beautiful campground but bring earplugs for sleeping! The main road has logging trucks etc that are pretty noticeable at night. I like the moldable silicone wax earplugs for swimmers. Best i've found.

Great location, nice campground, well maintained. One (minor) downside is the noise of traffic across the lake, especially the big logging trucks. It is also not close to towns/supermarkets (although there's a small store close by that sells ice, milk and other basics), so need to plan ahead supplies. But the scenery is great and it is close to many attractions, so overall highly recommended.
