Campground is pretty, but can be very noisy, you can hear 101 from across the lake. Most sites are very unlevel. The description for our site said "slight grade". We have a short 24ft MH and it was 1.5 feet out of level. Campground hosts were MIA.

The campsite was extremely small and misleading. It looked like we had access to the lake from the pictures on the site and we werent anywhere near the water. The bathroom didnt even have hand soap. No one working there to help and even the camp host were ghost. Lake was still beautiful

Lots of mosquitos. The restroom sink were filled with small black insects.

Great location. Clean sites and bathrooms. Staff offered hiking tips. Eclectic campers: lots of kids (yes), someone getting tattooed, a DJ spinning quietly lakeside.

Gorgeous campground, it was our favorite spot of the trip! We were almost completely surrounded by mossy trees and gorgeous leaves, with the lake only a few yards away. The volunteer at the campground was very friendly, she welcomed us, gave us maps, helped us with tips and recommendations. The campsite was quiet and peaceful even though it was completely full, with plenty of bathrooms and space for everyone. We ended up staying a few night here as a central location while driving out during the day to experience other parts of the park and surrounding area, including a whale-watching tour out of Port Angeles, and drive and hike up Hurricane Ridge, a hike to Devil's Punchbowl, Marymere Falls, and a few other places in between. We then moved on to a couple of other campgrounds as we made our way through the park, but we all agreed of the campgrounds we stayed at this trip, this was our favorite. Next time we visit Olympic, we will definitely spend another few nights here!

We enjoyed our time here and had a lot of fun watching the salmon at Salmon Cascades on Sol Duc Rd. (a ranger suggested we do that).
