This was a great place to set-up as "home base" for the few days I was at ONP. The short walk to Lake Crescent made for some great sunrise views. In addition, the restrooms had hot water! Site 37 was very close to the restroom and trash dumpster, in case proximity to those are important to you.

Camp site and fire ring was well maintained, bathrooms were nice for campground bathrooms and it's always a plus they're flushable. Only downside to the bathrooms is no hand soap.

Campsites are spaced pretty well apart, but there's little visual privacy. It's a hilly area so my site ended up at a slight angle. Some highway noise can be heard at night. Restroom facilities were larger than Mora and Kalaloch campgrounds.

As always, camping there provides an ideal setting. It was unfortunate that multiple campers who did not know the site had changed to reservations only and the campground was listed as full and they were turned away. However during our stay multiple campsites that were reserved for the two days had no one show up. I know this is an issue at all national park campgrounds so some type of penalty needs to be applied since the few dollars charged and not used is not a deterrent in preventing people from just not showing up and failing to cancel their reservation. A change to a penalty of all reservations being cancelled for the following two months at ALL national park campgrounds would seem to provide more incentive to cancel in advance. It would of course require the camp host to have a way to log onto a central database for this to occur.
