If you like clean bathrooms and campsites and a very pretty and accessible lake and don't mind noise, this campground will be perfect for you. If you're looking for any amount of privacy and peace and quiet, look elsewhere. The highway noise is shockingly loud at the walk-in campsites down by the lake, and even on a Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, we heard big logging trucks and other vehicles by all night. There were little kids playing in the lake near our campsite until super late and being very rowdy. We also had neighbors in the camp next to us who watched movies on their laptop at full volume until 2 am, despite us politely asking them to turn down the volume (they didn't and then acted like we were the rude ones for asking). The lake is gorgeous and perfect for paddle boarding and swimming and would make a lovely place to hang out for the day. However the noise level and "type" of campers this one attracts is likely to displease folks who are used to the peace and quiet of dispersed or remote camping. Flush toilets sure are nice, though :)

The campground itself was beautiful, however, the spot we were in towards the end of the lake, made it absolutely impossible to sleep. The large trucks and logging truck trucks were nonstop. We ended up leaving at about 5 AM so we could go sleep in the car somewhere.

Great location. We stayed in site 81 the Picnic table was in bad shape. Bench seat broken and proped up with wood blocks. Table top had chunks missing, really needs to be replace.

Really awesome place for the summer. The store by the camp actually has a lot of what you need to camp, you could easily show up and just get food/snacks from there. Absolutely beautiful lake

The campground is beautiful but at this particular site the picnic table was entirely unusable as it was broken in half and rotted away. This created a significant inconvenience that was not expected and made our trip less than enjoyable in that aspect. We hadnt brought our own table because the site is advertised to have a picnic table and we were not advised otherwise. The park ranger was aware of the state of the picnic table and still did not think to relay that information to the people paying for the site.

The campground itself is beautiful! That view of the lake and easy access to trails is so nice. However, that was one of the dirtiest bathrooms Ive seen at a National Park. No soap, bugs and dirt everywhere. Dont get me wrong, I camp a lot, and am used to primitive bathrooms. However, this one was super bad and there was no where to set your stuff and no hooks near the sink so getting ready for bed was less than ideal. I left a bar of soap cause luckily I had one from the last hotel we stayed at but honestly one of the worse bathrooms. I hope they clean more consistently in the future!

Campground location is convenient for visiting Lake Crescent, Sol Duc Falls area, Mount Storm King, and Port Angeles. The walk in campsites do have access to a reserved park spot, shared bear boxes, and water spigots. However, they are kind of far from the nearest bathroom. Walk in sites have a slight grade, but not enough to make it uncomfortable. Site 81 does have a partial lake view. Not much privacy from neighboring sites but still overall a great site. You do hear the traffic from the highway during the day but overnight the roadway isn't very busy.

Lake Crescent is magnificent. The campground itself leaves much to be desired. Neighboring sites are far too close together and, as an outdoor enthusiast, I find that overwhelming human presence detracts from the experience. I really wish our National Parks system would take this into consideration when designing the layout of campgrounds. I understand the idea is to meet demand, but opportunities to stay and enjoy nature the way I prefer are so limited. If walk in sites could actually lead a decent way out from other campers, so one wouldn't feel self conscious about holding a normal conversation, around a fire, while waiting for the stars to come out, that would be an amazing thing. Also having people's enthusiastic children scream and run through your site all evening detracts from the feeling I am after.
