Our experience at Fairholme Campground was pleasant; however, it must be said that this is not a quiet and peaceful camping experience. The road traffic is ridiculously loud both day and night! Also, the camp host were never to be seen. May want to spend some time sitting out around your camper, being available and talking to people. Im pretty sure this is what youre supposed to be doing. Never once saw them during my whole visit, while walking by their space at least 20 times. Also, the bathrooms were not kept that clean, and unfortunately people were washing their dishes in the bathroom sink. . Lake Crescent is the most beautiful, perfect and pristine lake I have ever visited. If youre lucky enough to be there during the warm summer the swimming is exceptional.

Campsites under the big trees are wonderful! The campground is sloped, but each campsite is level. The bathroom was clean and relatively new. Nice experience!

#30B is a pretty small site, it says maximum 8 but comfortably fits 1 or 2 people, and 3 people would be the maximum in my opinion. The camping table looks down over the site and the drive roads, so it doesn't feel very private. Otherwise, the campsite and restroom are very clean, with a nice rainforest, and it is a beautiful campsite.

Campground was beautiful, and great location for us. The lovely setting was diminished somewhat by the small size of the sites and also that most of them are on a slant, and the whole campground is on a hill so it was a workout every trip to the bathroom. It would probably be hard for older people or people with disabilities to get around, and also makes it so a kid wouldn't be able to ride a bike around.

Out of all the ONP campgrounds Ive stayed at, this was by far my favorite. Lots of great vegetation and trees and while youre still next to other campers, you still fully feel like youre out in nature. Walkable to Fairholme store (although I wish they sold bags of ice!) & close to the railway trail (which would be a great bike ride w kids). We kayaked on the other side of the lake (thru the resort) which was smoother and had rentals available by the hour. Definitely check out Sol Duc hot springs and Marymere waterfall as well!

Good site that's relatively private. This campground was a little rowdy in the summer (lots of big groups), so just something to be aware of. Great lake access.

Fairholme campground was beautiful - I felt like I was in a lush green rainforest. Some of the campsites were situated right on Lake Crescent.

This might not *technically* be rainforest but it seems like the lines are fairly blurred on the penninsula for what is and isn't rainforest because we visited some rainforests and this really seemed like one to me. Altitude is higher though than Hoh, Sol Duc, Kalaloch, and Mora though so it was very cold at night. Our site was pretty far from the bathroom and walking through the forested path through the campground to get there in the middle of the night felt kind of spooky. Lots of ravens and interesting mosses and fungi. Fire will be a challenge due to the wetness. Like all the other campgrounds we stayed at in Olympic, soap, paper towels, firewood, and staff all hard to find. Still very lovely and I'm glad to have had the opportunity to stay here.
