Lovely campground. Very quiet, and the sites allow for much privacy. Bathrooms are clean and well stocked. And there is an outlet in the restroom for phone charging! We will be back.

The process of getting a reservation at Fairholme by using the website recreation.gov was a nightmare. I ended up calling them by phone and after 1 1/2 hours finally got a warm body to answer. After reserving the site with one individual she passed me to someone else to pay for it. Another 20 minute wait. Also, the site map of the campground is incorrect. I pointed this out to the two rangers I dealt with while staying there. They both knew the problem but had no way of fixing it. Half of my time spent in the campground was dealing with other campers that didnt know about the new process and couldnt find a ranger to deal with. The Park Service should run, not walk to try and get their money back that they paid this contractor to set up this website. The Park Service didnt do the American people any favors by going with the lowest bidder on this setup. There is a good chance I will never go to this campground again which is a real shame because Ive always had a good time in years past.Trying to use your recreation.gov website is like going for a colonoscopy. Not a good time.

What a beautiful campground! Fairholme is situated in a lush, green forest on the shores of Lake Crescent, which provide a stunning landscape to camp in. The amenities are great and the campsites are well-spaced and well-sized. Only downside for me was the nearby US101: I was awoken frequently throughout the night by cars driving by Lake Crescent.
