Lovely campsite right on the shore of Lake Crescent. Yes, you can hear the traffic on 101 and the trail up to the restrooms is steep, but it's still a really nice place to camp. This walk-in site was right on the lake, which was really nice. The ground did slope a little, so we made sure to set up our tents so that our feet were pointing downhill. Beautiful view.

Site #89 is beautiful. However, it is a horrible walk downhill from your parking spot. Actually it is a combo of downhills so going up is awful. Like almost vertical. So either dont pick this site unless you are bringing nothing in or drive up to the boat launch and walk your stuff to the site. That way is flat but unknown as an option. Would not stay at a waterfront site here again because of this. Campground itself is nice with clean bathrooms.

This was a beautiful, large campsite. There were four of us, and we had plenty of space to set up 3 small tents. The view was incredible. This was possibly the most beautiful place I have ever camped. We did encounter a couple of issues. When we arrived, there were people in our spot. They tried to argue that the sites were first come first serve, and they wouldnt move even after showing them my reservation. Finally, when I said I was going to get the host, they packed up and moved to another spot. We had somewhere to be and didnt have time to tell the host about this issue. The road noise at night was also quite bad.

Perfect spot by the water, and the best part is the shore in front of the camp site is slightly shallow and small rocks in the water before it gets really deep, so is perfect for swimming and paddle boarding. My brother even went for a night swim .

Take what I say with a grain of salt. I am normally a dispersed camper, so very use to having lots of space and minimal/no people around me at any given time. Fairholm campground, being right on lake crescent held a lot of appeal, I am an avid kayaker and enjoy fishing. I lucked out and got a lake front camping spot. I arrived, got my parking spot and walked down to my site prior to unpacking my car. The description of the site does say "hike in on short steep trails" I vastly underestimated what that actually meant. It is 100% a hike down very steep mostly dirt, narrow trails that weeve in between other sites. I made it down to site 89 and it was TINY. Like only big enough for 1 small tent and it was right up next to the other sites. Close enough for me to hear entire intimate conversations of the campers on either side of me. The campground itself is beautiful and clean/well maintained, but I will not be staying here again...everything was just too close for comfort.

Beautiful!! Walk-in sites get some road noise if youre a light sleeper bring ear plugs but the beauty makes up for it. Other sites are much quieter and mostly well spaced from each other. Great jumping off point for the Olympics!

I had a lovely stay at this place! It was right off the main road and you could hear traffic go by which wasnt my favorite, but it did give me a little peace of mind because I was camping by myself this time. The lake is stunning and the water felt fantastic for early Sept ! I stayed in a spot close to the water. It had flushing toilets and potable water. The sites are pretty close together but that didnt bother me much either since I had respectful neighbors. Theres also food storage containers provided but for the area I was in , theres one container for every 2 camp sites, so youll have to share with your neighbors. This a great central point to any hikes around Lake Crescent, Olympic NP, and the coast!I will definitely be back for a longer stay!
