Willaby is a scenic, peaceful delight to which I hope to return soon. One important note: The bathroom near the campground entrance is closed, leaving only the lower bathroom open. If you're on the side of the loop closest to the campground entrance, you're in for a 3-4 minute walk to the open bathroom, which is closer to the day use area. The bathroom was fine, but not the cleanest or nicest I've seen (I'm sure the additional usage due to the closure of the other bathroom doesn't help). Otherwise, the campground is absolutely wonderful! It is the quietest I've been in, even a full capacity. Even in a site near the road, the road noise was fine. The sites have cool layouts and a good deal of privacy. There were mosquitos, but manageable with bug spray. A couple minutes down the road is Quinault Lodge, which has a gorgeous lawn rolling down to a beach (I think they also rent watercraft). The lodge isn't doing service in their dining room, but they were doing take out to eat on the deck and lawn from the restaurant and bar, which felt festive and relaxed. The mercantile across from the lodge has nearly everything you could need in a pinch - grocery basics, camping basics, and a good selection of chilled beer and wine. The beaches near Kalaloch Lodge are only a 30-minute drive away, which makes for a nice half-day trip (including the Tree of Life, which a lot of people seek out for pictures) - bring layers because it will be COLD on the beach, even if it is sunny and warm further inland.
