We love this place for swimming and hiking, this year the water was very, very low and of course a fire ban...so not the best camping but overall enjoyed our yurt.

The sites are close together and you can hear everything. People next to us partied until 3am and the yurt was like a megaphone trapping every word. Our whole family was so exhausted we left a day early. As for the surroundings, it's a beautiful spot with lots of easy trails and a boat launch. Camp host has ice and snacks which is helpful. Our experience was sub par. I would recommend coming mid week if possible.

The site host was incredibly kind and stopped to help us get our yurt key even though he was busy with other things. The lake and hill views are beautiful. The campground is crowded and a lot of people were very loud/playing loud music past quiet hours. Limited parking spots for the walk-in areas, so we had to park in a weird spot off the shoulder of the road by the lot.

MICE INFESTATION. We thought the yurt experience would be a step-up from a tent, and avoid some of the effort/time for setting up/taking down and make for a more relaxed weekend. While that part of the calculation was correct, the yurts are overrun with mice - and there's no warning about this situation, so we discovered this when a mouse crawled on me in my sleep, and we woke up to find they'd eaten a lot of our food and pooped/peed in the yurt. I mentioned this to the camp host, who said there was nothing they could do because of national forest rules.

Beautiful campsite, great swimming on Wynoochee Lake, solitude along the Lakeshore Trail, great for families

Nice yurt and very close to the lake, the view was gorgeous. The privacy between the Yurt and the adjacent site was not very ideal, we would have booked the other 2 Yurt where it is more "private". There is free Wifi available around the office area.

We usually camp in our tent camper but decided to "splurge" and stay in a pet friendly yurt. It was AMAZING. We had so much fun in it and in the area. The bunk beds and futon are super comfortable. Sitting on the deck looking over the lake was so relaxing. We were glad for the heat as it was quite chilly and wet the first couple days. But that didn't stop us from hiking along the lake trail and going to visit some of the most incredible waterfalls. We actually loved not having internet or cell service. If you truly want some peace/quiet and getting away from it all - this place is it. And the staff at the campground is so friendly and helpful!!! One recommendation, if it helps anyone else, is that we brought a little wagon to transport our belongings the few yards to the yurt. It's not necessary but it saves some trips back and forth. We can't wait to come again.

The yurt was a fun alternative to tent camping. It sleeps 5 comfortably but we squeezed in 6 (3 of those being small, child bodies). The walk-in aspect wasnt too bad as we had lots of helpers. The kids enjoyed riding their bikes everywhere. The grass beach area was covered with goose poop so thankfully we had no intentions of swimming, being too early in the season anyway. The walking path down to the dam was an enjoyable experience.

The hosts get 10 stars because they are the nicest host I have met over the years. They were very welcoming, kind, and helpful. Working all day around the campground and then in the evening walking around the campsites and handing out candies to children and checking in with guests. You are awesome! Thank you!The campground itself is nice too (pretty setting, clean bathroom with running water, etc.) but some sites are just WAY too close to each other.

Fantastic campground - particularly the amazing hosts and quiet, beautiful views! We stayed in Yurt 58 and loved it! Each sleeping place has a blanket covering the mattress, but it is not bedding. You have to bring your own bedding or sleeping bags. It has a futon that lays down to a full (or queen) size bed. The mattress is a little thin, so we used our sleeping pads on it. The bunk bed is a single on top and double on bottom. There is an outlet inside and an electrical outlet outside the yurt. Inside, there was a single light, a fan, a table with 2 chairs, and 2 plastic chairs on the balcony. It is a quiet spot and far from any services but it is a great location! We really appreciated the kind hosts who come each evening around 7pm to check in and give the kids a piece of candy. Bathrooms (toilets and a sink) are clean and well cared for. We stayed August 2021.

If you are looking for peace without phone reception in the middle of nowhere paradise, this is your place. We rented Yurt #58 and it was magical, clean, and relaxing. (Pro tip: Yurt #50 is the best yurt. All three are great, but yurt #50 has the best site. It's the most spacious and private with the best view. ) The camp hosts are kind and lovely. The bathrooms are immaculate!

Most incredible campground, amazing lake, and has the best campground host ever! The firewood and ice delivery service was a bonus, and they even brought candy around for all the kids!
