Yurt was clean and bug free. No signs of mouse activity. A plug receptacle let us warm water for coffee and hot chocolate. A trail to the water is a bit steep, but usable. Stones next to the water allowed fun stone skipping.!

Camp hosts were amazing. Love that they operate a kiosk for items people may have forgotten and will even bring items from town since one of them commutes from Aberdeen everyday. The firewood for sale was very very wet Alder so bring a duraflame log to get the fire started for each night you are there. They ran out of firewood mid-week and the truck to bring more apparently broke down so there was no firewood for a couple days. There is no cell phone service at the campground, but there is service and Wi-Fi available at the dam.

My partner and I stayed here on a Sunday-Wednesday in early July and everything was fantastic. When we arrived on Sunday there was a decent amount of noise from boat activity - but I guess thats what you get when your yurt has a view of the water! The rest of our stay the lake was ultra quiet in comparison (weekdays). Some other reviews mention that the walk-in campsite are pretty close together, and I would agree, but even while surrounded by campsites of families with young kids - this never bothered us. The yurt was very clean and comfortable and we were delighted to be able to purchase firewood (albeit wet firewood) and ice from the camp hosts. They even take credit card! Additionally the restrooms were super clean and having drinking water on tap near our campsite was super convenient. If you bring paddleboards or kayaks - I would recommend launching from the boat launch instead of hauling them from the day-use area like we did.

Love the trail around the reservoir

MICE INFESTATION. We thought the yurt experience would be a step-up from a tent, and avoid some of the effort/time for setting up/taking down and make for a more relaxed weekend. While that part of the calculation was correct, the yurts are overrun with mice - and there's no warning about this situation, so we discovered this when a mouse crawled on me in my sleep, and we woke up to find they'd eaten a lot of our food and pooped/peed in the yurt. I mentioned this to the camp host, who said there was nothing they could do because of national forest rules.

This is our second visit at Coho Campground - first was camping, second was a yurt. We love Coho Campground for the water and trails. We came on Memorial Day both years and unfortunately this year the parties, loud music, and people literally just screaming Sunday night was very disruptive. We were in the walk-in area which was the quietest area but the water makes all sound travel farther and the music from people in other loops was blasting. Disappointed people arent considerate of others in the campground and especially those like us who have small children.

We had a wonderful time. It was September when we camped so it was warm. Luckily we were able to open the screens and brought our fan. Beds were comfortable, kayaks were safe docked behind the yurt. We had yurt 57. Great idea bringing a small garden wagon to carry our stuff as the parking lot was a ways away. Definitely will go it again.

Chain link metal squeaks in the wind, lots of jet skis on the lake, drunk people next to us made too much noise so we couldn’t sleep. Terrible camping experience.

Very nice campground, and super clean bathrooms. Staff, and camp hosts are wonderful. We were there during the intense heat-wave, and spent all of our time in the water. It was fabulous. I recommend going during the week if you would like a quiet camping experience. The weekends are busy with lots of swimmers and boaters.

This was our first family camping trip and the yurts made it possible because we didn’t have all the gear. We took our 13, 5 and 4 year old sons and they all had so much fun!! We will definitely plan more trips here. Super clean bathrooms and drinkable water.
