Coho Campground is beautiful! The sites are fairly well spaced out, and the campground is clean and paved. A couple of nice hikes nearby, through the forest and down to the lake and dam. That said, do not drive to the campground from Hwy 101 on Donkey Creek Road. THAT road is unimproved with huge washes and potholes! Instead, users should approach the campground from US 12 at Montesano. It would be good if Rec.gov pointed that out to campers!

The Coho campground is now managed by D5 Recreation LLC and the new host would not let me move from my reserved site to a first come first serve site without paying for both sites , in the past when under different management and at other forest service campgrounds also I was able to move from a reserved site to a first come site with no additional fee. I think I deserve a refund.

It's a beautiful place with water activity on a small lake (4.5 miles) However, I did not appreciate the 6 hrs of hydro boats running up and down the lake. It really ruined the peace and quietness of the place. These folks can use a more urban setting for their display.

A very beautiful, clean, and well maintained campground. All of the spots had beautiful, unique views. If you are planning on going into Olympic National Park be warned that this campground is FAR! It's 40 minutes off the main road to the campground and roughly 2-3 to the nearest park entrance. Well worth it though if you're doing a multi day trip or want a great campground to go hang out with some friends at

Peaceful, beautiful, huge site, camp host was friendly, clean…a perfect stay. Great waterfall hikes in the area too. We had a great visit and highly recommend this gem.

Great campsites all well maintained. Clean bathrooms. But, don’t leave your fishing gear out unsecured, it WILL go missing.
