Grounds were well maintained. Site 056 is surrounded by trees and walk-in only, so despite being behind the bathroom building and able to see the occasional camper pass on the camp road, it feels very secluded and quiet. Our two dogs and did very well on a tie-out at this site. The next day we took the 20min drive to Spoon Creek Falls for a swim, which made the visit a 10/10! If expecting rain bring a shelter as there is only a picnic table and fire ring available.

The campground is right next to a dam. You can do some swimming or paddling in a relatively restricted area.We stayed at hike-in spot 56, which was... directly behind the bathrooms haha. That meant toilet flushing and bathroom lights at all hours. The bathroom was very well taken care of though. The hike-in spots are not very private. For instance, one is directly next to the parking lot. The sites and picnic area were swarmed by wasp. Burnban meant no smoke to repel them either. No one got stung while we stayed, but it was so relentless and unpleasant instead of cooking breakfast the last day we just got up and left immediately. We tried to find a trailhead by walking around since it seemed obvious on the maps, but we never found it. A trail south of the dam took us to a deadend forest service road? Tho we didn't ask for additional directions, so kind of on us.Overall, it's a pretty and relatively serene campground. The campsites and bathrooms are well kept.

Very nice campground! Quiet, well spaced campsites, everything, including the bathroom, was clean and neat. The campground host was friendly and came around to check on everything politely and dutifully. The trails around the campground were well maintained and very nice.

There are no showers here, however the flush bathrooms are immaculate! Very well maintained campground - the Host is to be commended. Not for such a well run campground but having to deal with the campground being inundated by daytime users for access to the reservoir and their power boats. The campground swells with daytimers on the weekend causing parking and noise problems. The Host seem to take it all in stride and helped all he could with patience and aplomb - impressive! Its a handsome park but if I go back I'll plan on early or late summer. Oh, the campsites are big with nice privacy.
