After a day of visiting museums, we needed a good rest and hot showers. We found this at Hawthorn Bluff. The lake view was lovely, the showers clean and hot with high water pressure.

The attendants at this park are some of the friendliest Ive ever encountered. I received a call around 11am the day I was supposed to arrive and was told the spot I reserved was empty so I could come early. Since the check in time is 5pm that is very considerate. Every time we arrive the attendants are happy and helpful. The downside to the park is that the roads are narrow and there are trees right next to the roads and turns. My camper is only 25 and I still caught a few branches. The other downside is that a lot of the sites do not have water so you have to fill your fresh water tank.

The staff are amazing, they will absolutely take care of you. The lake is absolutely beautiful, its quieta hidden gem. My only disappointment was they have no community water hookups. You have to go in, fill your fresh water (I was missing a drain cap, wasnt carrying fresh water & didnt plan to use it.) I was told I had to fill the fresh & couldnt stay connected to water. I had a splitter, but no. The Park Ranger was nice enough to go to town & buy a drain cap for usno charge!!! We filled the fresh water & disconnected. Amazing. We extended our stay for 3 more days, but our current site was reserved, so we moved one over. I noticed the new camper in our old site was connected to water the entire 3 days we were there. This is a little frustrating for us. Why were we made to disconnect from city water, but they werent? In the same spot we were in? Who likes a week of water from holding? Its HOT. You cant get any kind of cold water from a fresh water holding tank when we are in 3 days of heat advisory. So, if you wish to connect to water, this is not the place for you. Everything else was amazing.

Camp sites in the middle, especially the row with #s in the 50s on up, Bathroom & Showers need updated. Some of the sites are dangerous for someone in a camper, they are washed out and drop off sides.

Stayed a couple of nights in 06, A-Lo(. Nicely paved very level, but the pad is very narrow: be careful with your slide-out, and your awning is probably not useful. Good place to bring your popup because the table and fire ring is mostly behind your rv or trailer. It was easy to back a trailer into, though. Water is across the road and not shared by many, but bring lots of hoses. I didn't, an camped really dry. The bathrooms and showers are truly EXCELENT.

Beautiful location that is close to bathrooms, swim beach and they also have a frisbee golf course. The camp host was near the site. They are very friendly. Park was clean, as were the bathrooms. The small park is goo for littles.

People stole our fish we had in a cooler out front of our campsite. People were behind our camper fishing by our firepit which I thought was very rude and disrespectful to our space. The kids left all there trash on our campsite so we had to clean it up. Never experienced this before and this was our first time to camp at Oologah lake. We usually go to Table Rock, Copan or Skiatook.

This was our first time at this campground. It was well manicured and well maintained. We were steps away from restrooms with electric & showers that were stocked and cleaned daily. Pit toilets were nearby as well. Nature trail was well marked and cleared for walking. Beautiful short hike (1.2 miles) but there were more trails within the main path. Maybe it was the time of year we went but there was a nice breeze the entire time we were there and the least flies Ive ever seen when camping which was nice. Employees were super helpful and friendly. Very peaceful weekend. We will be back for sure.

A-loop is spectacular, camping on the bluff exceeded expectations. We tent camped and it was great! Make sure to bring bug spray & sunblock.

Hawthorne Bluff is absolutely the best place for tent camping! They have a nice bathroom with flushable toilets and hot showers! Its also great for fishing, hiking, picnicking, or just relaxing! They do a great job of keeping it well maintained!

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
