Site 21 great view but no shade at all and no pad just a very unlevel uphill large gravel road with water bib 50 away. Would return but not on site 21

I have stayed at Heyburn Park on multiple occasions and always enjoyed my stay. The campground is well laid out with shade, multiple pull through sites with water and electric and beautiful lake views. The lake is large and there is a nice swimming beach. The campers are mainly families, friendly and quiet at night. On this visit the lake was flooded and rising due to heavy rains , so the beach was closed, but this is unusual. The two downsides to this campground are the bathroom facilities which are quite limited(men's have two showers and one flush toilet) and the roads leading into the campground are poorly maintained.

We used it for overnight stop in our winter travel, but looks like nice place for the summer. I think directions distance was not accurate as we had to drive more than given distances.

Park itself is great, but they shut off water after I booked and we didn't know until we got there, with empty white tank. VERY inconvenient and poor communication. First time staying, not sure if we will be back since we can't trust major changes will be communicated.

Beautiful little secret tucked away in Oklahoma . Great and friendly host. Lake front spot 23-25 are amazing views . Water and electric hookup at 23. Bring firewood though, the website says they have it but its a misprint . Amazing clean campsite .
