We've camped at Heyburn Park many times, but this time we noticed they have done some work clearing out the shore line near some of the campsites. It looks wonderful! We walked down to the swim beach and it was well maintained. Multiple times a day we saw sheriffs and park rangers driving through so I feel like security is a top priority. We will definitely continue camping here in the future.

We've camped here for years and were surprised to see there is not a gate attendant this season. All reservations are online, which works fine for us. We weren't sure who to talk to when we had an issue at our reserved site. The people in the campsite next to us had setup their tent in our campsite and used our water. I've never experienced anything like it. I feel like a gate attendant or park host should have been more available to address issues like this. Overall, the park is great. It is generally quiet and there is a great swim beach.

Talk about out of the way, off the beaten path, etc. Yes! If you like a waterfront lot this one has some good ones. The layout of the area we stayed, Heyburn Park Rec. in spot 45, we had the best spot. I wouldn't recommend 46&47 unless you are a party with two RVs, otherwise your gonna get a shared pull thru. We were already set and had reserved online ( which I recommend because we never saw the camphosts) so we were able to pull in, hook up and enjoy. The shower house is very clean and spaced out. Good ADA stalls too. I especially liked the hooks ( 2 different ones) to hang my shower bag without getting it wet. A tiled bench with a partition helps keep your belongings dry as well. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone glued to their tech, because cell service is almost null out there. Best to stop in Tulsa or Bristow before getting to the lake to stock up on food, supplies, etc. The nearest one is 14 miles away, down windy, dirt roads til you hit blacktop a few miles away, then actually access Old Route 66! Take it into Bristow, or Kellyville. Either way, it's a little drive. I would like to mention, that the pics on the reservation site were a great way to preview the lot before renting.

Obnoxious campers riding electric bikes around with blasting radio, all day and into the night. Camp volunteer did nothing. Lots of parties. Electric box 30amp was blown it was a holiday weekend so no electrician available. Camp volunteer offered me to use his 50 amp converter but told me if I damaged it it would cost me $25. My husband drove to 3 stores to get one that cost $9.99.
