Clean and well kept. Sites well spaced. Love this place.

We camped at Johnson Creek on a hot weekend where there was barely anyone there. We live/work close by so we camp often. Our boys love it. We pulled our camper out to the site about 4 hours early (6pm check in is very late in my opinion) and went back to work. No one was in the host office when we pulled in with our camper. I had checked to see if anyone was camping in that spot the night before and there wasn't so I thought it would be ok. We have 2 small children and a dog. It was a 110 degree day so we wanted to give the camper a couple of hours to cool off before we got off work and picked the kids up from school with all of our food, clothes, and kids bikes to unload. Instead of a cooled off camper when we got there at 6 our electric was flipped off without any kid of notice meaning our camper was 100 degrees when we arrived. We could have had our dog in there and it would have died. No one notified us before doing so. So instead our camper didn't cool off until 11pm that night. Camp host were petty. I get if it was a busy weekend but it wasn't. This wasn't the only problem we had. There were ants everywhere. We couldn't set outside at the tables because they were everywhere. Also, the campsite was invested with hornets and wasps. My 4 year old little boy was riding his bike and got stung twice. My husband in a different spot got stung while cooking dinner. We will never be back which is a shame since we live so close and camp often. Never once had we had a problem with pulling our camper in early at other places if no one is in the spot so to turn of the electric to our camper is very uncalled for! I'm just thankful we didn't leave our dog.

Would be excellent if the water spigot were closer to each camp site.
