We stayed in site 11. This is a large tent only site with great separation from other sites. There is some noise from the road. The water station near by was not working. The other water station was barely a dribble and too far to walk with 5 gallons of water. In the olden days (I've been camping here for 40 years) the wells used hand pumps which worked way better than the current solar powered electric pumps.

Poorly maintained facilities. Bathroom was a mess and the potable water barely worked. Our site was right by the main road so we just heard cars go by all night. And on top of all of that, it was more expensive than other national park campgrounds

Beautiful and close to awesome trails. Decent bathrooms for a campground. AND, lovely privacy.

Hiked the Enchantments through hike last week and stayed at Eightmile CG since it is close to the Stuart Lake trailhead. The sites at this campground are fairly large and well spaced and the campers seem very respectful of quiet hours. The sites adjacent to Icicle Road are affected by any cars travelling by and therefore not as quiet. However, the sites nearer the river are wonderfully quiet except for the sound of the creek! Bathrooms are amazingly clean especially considering the fairly full campground. Stayed in sites number 11 and 41. (Prefer the latter.)

This was a lovely camp with close access to bouldering, the water to refresh yourself and trailheads. Loved it so much. Great hosts too!

Appreciate the bear videos and safety tips from campground hosts Spanky and Ted! :)
