Beautiful campground, well kept & clean.

The campground, during the week, was very quiet. The hosts were very personable and kept the vault toilet clean. There is a trailer dump at the campground, which I couldn’t find listed on Recreation.gov‘s website. There is one manual water pump on the lower loop near the beginning of the loop. We were told that the water pipe for the upper loop is currently broken, so the facets you see, do not work. The only one that works is along the road to the boat ramp and there’s one at the trailer dump.

We tried out the lower CG for a change. There is only 1 water source and it was far away. The garbages were overflowing. Not impressed with new management and the new $8 fee that you must pay to park at the boat launch area even if you have a national park pass! We were advised to evacuate at 10 pm on our last night due to a fire in the area. We should be refunded for our last day, but the website has not been updated to allow for it. It's time to find a new place for our family campouts.
