Clean, and campsites are as described. Good-sized fire pit but grills are high so you'd have to have a decent fire to cook on them (better for warmth, so bring a camp stove). Only propane fire pits allowed anyway. Table tops appear to be redone/newer and are great for large groups. Numerous trails make lake and other parts of the campground access, easy. Might want to bring water shoes as the lake shore can get pretty muddy depending on how dry it is or isn't. Water spigot is located near the upper campground (towards the day use parking area). Easy little spot to pull over and fill up your water jugs for washing dishes etc. Another at the host campsite, but might be more intrusive to use that one. Closest store is Whistlin' Jacks about 25 min drive on 410, to Naches - they have wifi but gas is crazy expensive, so fill up before you head out to the campground. There is a store on the other side of the lake, across the bridge but might be seasonal; closed in late August when we were there.

This is a beautiful campground in the mountains and the lake is very pretty. Campground is well maintained and we will definitely be returning to Bumping Lake Campground in the future.

Bumping Lake is a beautiful alpine lake in remote wilderness. The drive along the Little Naches River from the east was incredible, from Naches to the Bumping River Road turnout. Lots of campsites along the final stretch of road. We stayed in Site 056 of the Lower campground, which had a great access to the water in our "backyard." The sites are all spacious and pretty secluded. It was Memorial Day Weekend but many sites were unoccupied, we made reservations ahead of time but anyone coming last minute would have no problem finding an empty site to stay at. Next time I would love to bring kayaks, as there are many cool little islands just offshore that are worth exploring.

Great time, not many people there. Some jets flew over super low and made my daughter cry (very loud), but otherwise relaxing trip. Pretty windy at the lake, didn’t catch anything though we only fished off the bank.
