Salmon La Sac is a beautiful campground. We really enjoyed our site on the Cooper River. We highly recommend the Cooper River trail to Cooper Lake! Sadly, the campground is impacted by budget and staffing cuts to the Forest Service. Only one host serves this large, 69-site campground. We did not see the host until the last morning of our three-night stay and never saw Forest Service personnel. When the host is off duty, there is no one to check and maintain the vault toilets. There was no toilet paper, garbage was overflowing the small bin in the toilet, and it was not cleaned for three days. If you camp here, bring your own t.p.!

Me and my husband had already reserved another spot for a few days but wanted to come up a day early so we reserved site 39 for a night. This was our very first time here and we absolutely fell in love with this campground. This site has a private little beach by the river, but the site itself is smaller than most others. Only take away is the little beach. We definitely will be staying at other sites thought out Salmon La Sac because there is a lot of really good ones!! Overall quiet, clean campsites, well maintained, vaulted toilets are some of the nicest weve used..(appreciated those camp hosts) just a beautiful campground! Cant wait to come back.

Very beautiful campground! Wonderfully paved for bicycling with little kids. Saw several deer. Loved our site next to the river.

Our first time to this campground. Very beautiful. Very clean. We got lucky with an amazing campsite with a perfect river bank. My husband's only complaint was that the men's restrooms smelled while the women's didn't. Everyone was very quiet after dark. We were thrilled to get to have a campfire. Very smooth pavement throughout the grounds for bikes and scooters etc. Was surprised and happy with the lack of mosquitoes. No cell phone service at all until a few miles back towards civilization. Will definitely go again!

Beautiful spot, rain or shine. No cell service so everyone just unplugs and it is magical.

Simply enchanting places for couples and families both. No cell service, but ten miles up the road you can check your messages, and the quietness of the park combined with the positive atmosphere of campers who are there to relax and recharge is memorable.
