We arrived early on 8/22 for our anniversary trip. The site was dirty but staff was friendly and said it'd be clean by the regular checkin time. We returned after checkin time and the site had dog food, old wood, and chalk drawings. I actually didn't mind cleaning it myself. So that is what I did I was happy to be camping. Soon after we set up our tent, we began to smell dog poop. Yes we had stepped in dog poop. We called the lady at the front who was very friendly and she told us that we needed to contact someone to clean the site. We were kind of busy cleaning our shoes and tarp so we weren't able to do that. We did contact the Ranger who discussed getting us new sites but also discussed prices. This was not great customer service and the site we were moved to was OK except it also had lots of trash which I did not mind cleaning because I wanted to enjoy my trip. I have talked to the staff since leaving requesting some type of compensation and have heard nothing. This was sadly a disappointing trip and took away from the natural beauty. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this camp location.

More gravel is needed in some sites to make more level.
