Bathrooms clean. Quite during the week. A little noisy when the families rolled in for the weekend. Lots of fire wood available

As usual, we had a great time at Walton Lake. The other campers on our side of the lake were very friendly and helpful when we needed a jump for our pickup. Wish we could reserve Site 29 which is probably our favorite site. The campground was not very crowded but probably because school had started for a lot of children. We'll be back.

We had a wonderful Campsite and the camp hosts were fantastic. Because of a planned detour that I was made aware of, I still took a wrong turn and a very bumpy ride, but were rewarded with sheep grazing under the watchful eye of the sheepherders. We choose Walton Lake as it was fairly close to the John Day Fossil Beds which I have a years ago connection with. The Sheep Rock Unit is my favorite and the new Interpretive Center is excellent.

Beautiful area, nicely kept campground, bathrooms were clean, camp hosts were friendly and very helpful when we had an issue with another set of campers.Awesome trail around the lake, with another trail that one could take that looped back to the campground. Great lake for fishing, kayaking, floating and swimming. Ample crawdads for your late night campfire snack as well.We had the large group site...ample room for many tents and vehicles...even had space for a volleyball court.Be sure to take bug spray, tiki torches, and citronella candles though. You will need them.

Walton Lake has always been a favorite spot of ours for 20 years. Small intimate lake, well stocked with fish. This year we were over run by dear flys and I have the bites to prove it.

Our family of 18 tent camped at the large group site. Unfortunately upon arrival the lake was full of blue green algae with signs posted about it being toxic & warning not to swim. Additionally, the multiple fires around the area made the air/sky cloudy and hazy the whole time. The second day of our stay the camps drinking water stopped working. The camp hosts never talked with us about it nor did they ever fix it during our stay. Because of this we ended up leaving a day early as we had run out of any water. We had heard that this lake was a great place to stay but our experience wasn't very enjoyable.

Fire danger and smoke forced us to cancel our plans to visit Walton Lake

Beautiful little lake. Great hiking and mtn biking to the top of Round Mountain from the campground. Campground hosts are very nice and keep the campground in excellent shape. Loved our stay!

Lake was very swampy. There were a lot of dead fish floating in the water because the water temp was just too warm. Very small lake and there was only one water station for the entire campground.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
