Downstream campground is a diamond in the rough. Trees are abundant, sites are spaced generously distanced, trails are nicely groomed. In loop 2, 30 amp is on the interior of the loop while 50 amp is on the exterior of the loop. The shower buildings are clean. I noticed early Friday morning that our camp host was out on the 4 wheeler spraying the grass for weeds. My fire pit was clear of the previous guests burnt wood when I arrived. This is a laid back campground - there are a fair amount of families mixed in with couples and singles. Bring your bicycle if you enjoy flat rides - the campground is very spread out between the three loops, about a mile down the road are the primitive camping sites, The fish hatchery sometimes is open for self guided tours, and a few miles down the road is Pick City - a nice bike ride for anyone interested in a little exercise without huffing and puffing.

What a great park! Lots of walking areas and spots for a quick dip in the river. Bird watching is fun and deer pass through early mornings. ( a little deet comes in handy though )

My actual score would have been a 4.5 if available. We loved most everything about this location except for the terrible flies and mosquitoes during our Mid-July visit. I understand mosquitoes from the river, but the flies are evil enough to make you stay inside your rig.

Camp host has sticky fingers..I left an item on my picnic table and when I came back it was gone. I asked one of the hosts if they had seen anything and she stated that it was probably the other host who took it. She even admitted that this had happened before! When confronted, he told me that he threw the item in the trash and if I wanted it back guess the empty propane tank was of no use to him. Sites are clearly marked with reservation tags, no reason for him to be on my site and take my personal belongings. COE and other campers should be very aware of these camp hosts..

The campground host was very nice and friendly. After a storm went through they were out the next morning and did a great job cleaning up right away and offering help. We camp there often and recommend it. Did not get the hosts name, but thank her.

Beautiful campground with large trees, walking trails, paved sites and fishing. Sites have electricity but no water hook ups.

For anyone who likes to camp but has physical limitations, I highly recommend Downstream Campgrounds handicap sites, which can be reserved by phone. My mom has mobility issues and uses a walker. The oversized, level concrete pad in the handicap sites have even the picnic table and fire pit set up for accessibility. The bathroom/shower house is directly across from these sites as well and also are set up well for handicap use. I am so grateful sites like this exist so we can still make these memories together occasionally.

We enjoyed our stay at the Downstream Campground very much. We try to stay there at least once every summer. The loops are big enough that all the camp sites are well spaced, and we really enjoy that aspect, seperation from your neighbors.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
