The camp hosts were so friendly! We have stayed there several times and love that area!

Bandits Roost is my favorite camping spot. It has everything I need. It is close to town where I enjoy going and dining. The sites are large with plenty of room. I enjoy walking around the campground and seeing all the friendly campers. The only thing I would like to see is if all the weekends were not tied up all the time.

I like the park. It is close to my home in Hudson nc and with my "old as dirt" lifetime national park pass the price can't be beat!
The park itself is clean, the sites are good. It could use more shaded spots. There are some but in the summer it gets pretty hot. It could use a laundry room. For those of us staying for several days, washing clothes is necessary.
All in all, pretty darned good.

My site was on the 'A' loop. The shower was terrible. I had to stand in the last person's water because the shower floor did not have the proper "drop" to allow all the shower water to go to the drain.There was nothing to sit on to remove my clothes. After the shower I had to alternate standing on 1 wet foot to put my clothes on. I had to hang my clothes on rebar or put them in the water on the floor. The room was very small and steamy. The total experience was terrible. The worst shower on the east coast. I'm printing this but the sad thing is that nothing will be done about it.

Sites are fairly level, some waterfront and some with a view of the lake. Rest rooms and showers need to be updated.

A lovely place. Nice site, close to level, plenty large. Beautiful scenery. For us, a sewer hook-up would have added the last star.
